The giant scorpions are yet another strange creature from Seheron's jungles and mountains. They are at times highly difficult to capture and train, however, the benefits of having Giant Scorpions in battle are well worth the costs. As the Imperium has had a grip on Seheron for millennia, these capricious Scorpions have been captured, trained, and turned into viable mounts through much sweat and toil. A pair of mages are able to control the beast while casting spells from atop it's back, and using it to swiftly cut through enemy formations. To the foes of the Imperium who have never seen the jungles of Seheron, these monstrous creatures are a terrifying sight and will set rout to many troops.
Huh, I thought they were going to be Ballistae, or something along those lines.
Ballistae would be difficult to get on the scorpions as you would need a large platform for it. Mages on the other hand can fire projectiles that match or surpass the ballistae in power and can be mounted on the beast easier so as you can imagine, the Imperium would rather just put a mage on there. :-)
Beautiful.
Awesome!
That's so cool.
that is badas* !
