Dragon Age: Total War is a currently unreleased Dragon Age-themed total conversion mod for Medieval 2 Total War: Kingdoms. The mod features 23 unique factions throughout various locations across the continent of Thedas each featuring unique unit rosters, faction mechanics, scripts, campaign conditions, gameplay styles, characters, and much more. Dragon Age: Total war aims to provide a distinct and meticulously lore-friendly yet highly familiar insight into BioWare's world of Thedas, all the while expanding further on the lore of Thedas and exploring areas previously unseen in any form of Dragon Age media. OOOOo That's amazing.
Cant wait looks amazing, I love the strat map models for each nations cities. Any idea when you expect a release?
We'll see where we are by the end of the year. :-)
I guess there's still quite a lot to be done then?
The map, 240 or so models (excluding strat models), additional coding, 2D, etc. Total conversions, especially Fantasy-themed mods usually take 2-3 years minimum, but as I said, I'll let everyone know where we are by the end of 2019 if we haven't released by then.
Spicy :D
Venatori got the cool dragon icon instead of the Imperium. :/
great job!
Any plans to add red templars or anti-circle mages as their own factions? Or are they going to be under Renegades & Pirates?
The Red Templars are going to be in, but how they're implemented is going to be revealed once we begin writing faction overviews.
Amazing job! just a shame that you gave the dragon flag to the Venatori, I preferred when it was the other way.
Both symbols are "Tevinter", the Venatori still has the Star of Andoral as their banner symbol, while the Tevinter Imperium itself uses the Dragon symbol as it's banner symbol. However, with the faction icon, keep in mind that the "red dragon" was used most prominently for the Venatori in DA:I, while we saw the Hydra most prominently in DA:I to represent the Imperium itself, or more appropriately, it's the seal of the Magisters. The heads of the hydra represent the many Mage-lords who rule the Imperium.
I might also add the dragon symbol in a smaller size above the Magisters' hydra.
Awesome. But which is which? Some are obvious, but others are not (didn't play Inquisition yet, so I have no idea which banner corresponds to which faction, even though I've spoiled myself a lot when it comes to the plot).
"Reach down into your heart and you'll find many reasons to fight. Survival, Honor, Glory. But what about those who feel it's their duty to protect the innocent? There you will find the warriors savage enough to match any dragon."
If anything can get me into Total War... This is it...
This looks AWESOME!!!! Now, seeing as how the Imperium and the Venatori are not the same faction, does this mean that the empire can actively move AGAINST corypheus????
Yes, the Imperium has no forced alliance with the Venatori, so after they appear in the Tevinter campaign, you can choose to fight them.
is the horde of urthemiel the darkspawn? cuz i THINK urthemiel is the name of the archdemon that headed the 5th blight
No Darkspawn faction???
How goes the Prodject on this Mod? any News of When there could be a Beta Releasse? or is the mod on paus or possible sad dead? Looking good though, hope to see some updates on it soon.
