After you destroy the "50 souls" red barrier, did you try walking up to the door and pressing "use / open" again on the gates?

We found the glitch! Please try opening and closing the mod menu to actually fix this.

Mod is awesome!

Thanks!
Currently there's Doom 1 maps (with DynaMap changes and some levels extended) and one Doom 2 map in the demo. We're aiming at original, procedurally generated maps in the future, and Doom 2 maps aren't really that fitting to be added.

That's a shame, it would be nice if this could be used in conjunction with other WADs, but I figure a lot of the randomness would be stripped out since a lot of WADs are built in a very specific way. Either way, still excited to see the full release. Had a blast with the beta so far.

I would love both, procedural sounds kind of interesting, but it could also potentially be a fun (and ridiciously random) combo with Obsidian-generated levels, hah.

Not sure if this is the best place to ask but I'm getting the error below when launching in gzdoom. (I've been playing 978.4 with no issue)

Actually, ignore me, I'm an idiot. Needed to update GZDoom itself to the latest version

How do you open the doors with the Orange Infinite symbol? I got them to open once, but I can't for the life of me figure out how to open them consistently. Seems the shop is locked behind 3 of them, and I can't even figure out how to get one.

We did a dumb mistake by not checking if we broken 4.8 and 4.9 compatibility before pushing this upgrade... my (personal) bad, sorry!

Bit too hard for my liking and I can't mitigate the difficulty at all.

Game won't let me play at all, if I set double ammo on, or respawning health. Cheats are disabled and won't let me play with them on. And the layout of the mod in Slade is so confusing that I can't edit anything there either.

Shame, as I wanted to get into it, but its harder than UV+coop monsters solo, so its a hard pass for me.

0.978.5? Does that mean it is close to finished for the sake of being a fully playable and working mod?

Ah hell naw! Ekhem, I mean, seeing how many things change, get added or fixed even in seemingly small number increments... Well, it's definitely closer than farther, but there's still about two years of work ahead. The story mode, procedural map generation, content... just takes time.

Tutorial needs to be skippable, also switch to open last door in tutorial is frustratingly hard to find took me 25min to complete tutorial because of this.

Does generated maps work with this mod (like Obsidian or Oblige)?

Like the mod so far :)

I'm so, so sorry to answer like this, but no, we cannot afford so many people asking / people about basic functionality and feeling ****** for not responding and helping them out. For the longest time we didn't actually thing we needed a tutorial map at all, but seeing some people actively avoiding some core mechanics... yeah, that was kinda needed. It has to teach the player what to expect, how to use stuff (and also sometimes even bind some keys, thanks GZ!), all that boring things. On the plus side - you play it only once!

Also no, Obsidian / Oblige won't work. Infinite's gonna have its own procedurally generated maps later on (there's a lot of technical stuff that needs to be done to the maps themselves to work properly).

Cheers!

I see... Shame about the tutorial but it is what it is.

Good luck with the procedurally generated levels. Thats not easy to accomplish.
