DOOM Forever is an enhancement mod for 3DGE with a long (and boring) history. I wanted a mod that enhances the experience with increased immersion, intensity, ferociousness and just make everything look and sound better without destroying the basic core gameplay and balance.

This also features improved and extended use of 3DGE's dynamic lighting, which out-of-the-box isn't all that great, along with added alternate attacks for all but one weapon and alternate attacks/special moves for monsters to increase variety in the gameplay department.

You can find recent build(s) of 3DGE here: Devbuilds.drdteam.org which is the engine required for the mod, along with a DOOM, Ultimate DOOM or DOOM 2 IWAD which I will not provide a link for.

Hey um, I only heard about this mod pretty much today and I haven't been able to play it on the most recent EDGE build, nor did it work on EDGE-Classic (using which, Duke it Out in DOOM worked absolutely fine), I wonder what could be the problem and how could I fix it?

I think it's a fantastic mod. If you made a gzdoom version more people would play it.

Updates are being made sporadically, but nothing has been uploaded due to an aparent lack of interest. And me just being lazy and lacking motivation.

I like your work, but why limit yourself by building around a godawful, POS engine like 3DGE?

I think at one point he said that DECORATE is too complicated for him to understand, and that hyper3DGE is a bit more easy on him.

Ok, the issues have been resolved. The mod now requires the latest build of 3DGE. The trade off is that headshots are disabled. Enjoy.

Mod currently does not work with latest version of 3DGE, problem will be resolved as soon as I can. For the time being, I recommended using previous versions of the engine.

Probably not. I would recommend you visit this page: Tdgmods.net explain the situation so it can be improved for future releases of 3DGE (a lot big stuff is on the way as of current).
