Wanted to let you know, that there are few BFG stock textures that have been improved since the release of classic Doom3. For exalmple the main character faces like swann, campbel, sarge, betruger... They have more details than the upscaled classic texture. Here's a comparison: on the left side your Hi Def face, on the right side the BFG stock face. Edited by: THEV00D00 |

I run the faster.cfg most the time my card is a piece of junk, when I want I nicer one I run fast.cfg. both have no hdr. I am guessing its you brightness settings, yours are getting white washed a bit for some reason |

I did mess with that one to, its in there and its better. if there is one to remake a new texture of its that one, probably the ugliest texture in the game lol. about to update that patch again. with more. Wish the voodoo would send me those character textures I'd add them to. Edited by: y2keeth |

its a new trick, almost recreating the original source textures detail. plus I have come up with another way to add some more detail back into some of them. its not a one size fits all situation tho, still requires individual tweaking.updated again fyi I'll look into the webs. I should say also I can totally make new textures, have a ton I made for a game project someday I will get back to. this holds more interest to me, when I made stuff for alien arena, I got into porting quake 2 models to alien arena and improving the textures. so its like a mission lol. just figured out the rusty elevators, it the spec map that sucked Edited by: y2keeth |
