DOLL is a mod about guns, girls* and gacha mechanics brought to a first-person shooter.

Based (loosely) on the mobile game "Girls' Frontline" and its setting, this mod lets you play as a T-Doll created for solo investigation, combat and long missions deep behind enemy lines.

  • You're able to dual-wield any weapon available thanks to your (rather unusual for a Doll) visibly mechanical arms. Splitting in two, they allow you to operate various firearms with ease.
  • Utilize various skills assigned to each weapon and its original user to gain superiority in battle.
  • Smaller, lighter and more agile, you're also much more frail. Avoiding enemy shots, jumping towards safe spots and utilizing cover is key to survival.
  • With every gun using physical projectiles instead of hitscan, you'll need to lead your targets. Enemy troops will have to follow the same rules, combine that with your increased mobility to dance between bullets.
  • Built for lone operations, you're able to thrive on killing. Each enemy killed restores your hit points by a small amount. The best defense is offense, after all.

i can't say for certain what, if anything, is going to happen next and what impact it's going to have, but we're back and should stay that way for the foreseeable future.

much appreciated, thanks. i've been aiming to make the core gameplay somewhat complex, but not filled with unnecessary crap. i'm planning to spice it up with custom enemies as well, their mechanics being a lot of fun to figure out. however, graphics and sounds are a pain to make, i must admit.

thanks, i appreciate the words of support. i'll try to make this mod as enjoyable as i can.
truth be told, in the six days since i wrote that announcement, the entire situation went in an unexpected, optimistic direction. i can't say yet it's going to end well for certain, but chances are the russian invasion is going to fail. this week might be the pivotal point.
this has to be the most bizarre war i've ever seen.

Got my eyes on this mod two days ago
I really like the dual wield mode and fairies stuffs
The game feels more thrilling with this mod
I really love it
One thing that I want to mention
Why does the overall brightness become dimmer when I equip anything else than the pistol?
If it's for tactical reason I can understand
I quite having some eye strain these days so I would like to ask bout it

i'm glad you're enjoying it, thank you.
the thing with pistols is that each weapon class has a passive ability, roughly corresponding to the traits of character/gun classes in girls' frontline - the game this mod is based on. i don't know how familiar you are with girls' frontline, let me explain just in case.
in that game, pistols grant increased visibility during night battles. doom lacks day/night cycles, so i've decided to simplify it - equipping pistols simply grants increased brightness in all areas.
i admit that i didn't consider it being a potential problem. instead of an automatic brightness increase on equip, i'll make it a toggle-able ability for pistols in the next update.

I once wanted to try GFL too but my phone won't promise it same goes to my laptop
Good to know about the fact of the pistol class too
Hope soon in the future i can play it too (as i heard Global version didn't released yet for my country)
