The main character of "Descent" is a fighter for Freedom known by the call sign "Kent".
Like other stalkers, Kent was dying not only of boredom, but also of the monotonous flow of stalker life, where every day is almost the same as the previous one.
In order to shake things up, the main character goes to the group commander and agrees to carry out a task to search for and find out the reasons for the disappearance of the scouts who went to the antennas in Radar.
Under strange circumstances, the connection with the stalkers unexpectedly dies near the tunnel to the laboratory.
Arriving at the entrance to the lab, the main character discovers that the stalkers have died, what happened to them in the laboratory and who did it, you have to find out during your playthrough of the Descent mod.
Like any other STALKER mod, drag it to your game directory, edit your fsgame.ltx if necessary and launch. Mod generally runs fine for me, haven't had a single crash. If you notice any issues, feel free to comment on the ModDB page!

I got this mod and finished it under an hour, I didn't wait for bolt to come all the way to the radar I just went to him and talked then entered the lab.
I am assuming this isn't any serious mod but rather just for testing purposes, which is fine I guess.
I never thought Stalker had bad mods (without counting the joke mods of course) worst case scenario you still can roam the Zone, shoot things, enjoy the atmosphere etc. This mod proved me wrong.
Here's how this mod exactly plays out:
You spawn in Radar and walk to X-19 only to find some dead stalkers. You radio the commander to come take a look and WAIT FOR THEM TO WALK ALL THE WAY TO YOU FROM ONE END OF THE MAP TO THE OTHER and once they arrive you go in to the lab to be ambushed by unkillable bloodsuckers, back you go out.
You radio for help and some stalkers spawn next to the lab entrance, this time they are the invincible ones. You go in, kill a lot of bloodsuckers. When they are all dead you ask the squad leader for some ammo and a gun to kill the male and female bloodsuckers. You go deeper in, find the pair who are taller and has goofy looking spikes on their body with ungodly amounts of health. You spend 20 minutes shooting them and once the final bloodsucker dies the game instantly takes you to credits. The end. The mod takes about an hour to finish and 50 minutes of it is waiting.
Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the translators, only to the mod itself, which is pretty bad.
End of rant.

Looks interesting, but when downloaded and installed,I found what seems to be a glitch. When entering the lab underground, team was hit by three or four invisible bloodsuckers which could not be killed. Entire team was killed quickly, and I ran out of ammo trying to kill the bloodsuckers. Could not. How to get by them? Not a great way to start the mod with unkillable mutants.
You have to exit the lab. The game can be a bit unclear at times. Once you exit the lab you'll be contacted via PDA and a friendly squad with RPK-74s will escort you into the lab and the bloodsuckers will be killable.
This is for SHOC 1.0006, right?
