The world is thrown into turmoil as large swathes of land are annihilated. ALmost every missile artillery unit in the RTS Genre uses longer missiles.

The smaller missile makes our V3 stand out from those artillery. ;)

Heh, heh. On a random point of interest, we actually considered an artillery unit that fires very, very small blackholes. :P (Just for the crazyiness factor).

Unfortunately we were unable to find a way to code it in using SAGE, ZH's engine, so we gave up on the idea.

It would have been a hella interesting unit though. xD

why is everyone complaining about the missle
its jsut as long as a regular tomahawk as in a matter of fact the nuke missle with to lengt ratio is smaller.. or bigger whatever you want

I'm not sure, maybe that's because they can't find anything to complain about on the vehicle model/skin. xD

Heh, Just my little joke. ;)

I think people will change their minds about the missile when they see it in-game. :P

Funnily enough the original V3 model we were going to use had 2 missiles.

The model was flawed though, so we re-made it and decided to change it to one missile instead.

Trust me, the one missile is deadly enough for it not to need another one. xD

Well in RL, the V series of rockets was created by Germany. But in the RA games, Russia got the V rocket as an artillery unit, the V2.

The V3 in EC is a homage to the Red alert V3 and will therefore be for the UAN (the closest faction to RA Russia in the mod).

Plus, Pav skinned it for the UAN, he'd have to completely re-skin it if we moved it to the WEA. ;)

It would be cool if it could use napalm/lava warheads as a secondary ability because the UAN like fire. I'm thinking along the lines of the multiple warheads in RA3 but with napalm/lava bomblets, by the way I'm loving the mod its my fifth favorite mod (only because its one of the few I haven't played yet, 1. Contra, 2. Rise of the Reds, 3. Modern Wars, 4. Cold War Crisis, 5. European Conflict) I know you can make #1 :)

"you can still buy one from one of their warehouses"

As Russian I can disapprove that. Russia has very strange strict laws about weapons. It's very difficult to buy a pistol here and even more difficult to get a hunting rifle. Buying an assault rifle or just a rifle for your own needs is impossible.
HOWEVER these laws have no limitations about buying Degtyaryov or Maxim machine guns.

Description

The Russians don't get rid of anything. Its said if you want a World War I Mosin-Nagant, you can still buy one from one of their warehouses. While no one can prove if this is true or not thanks to the fact that we're currently in full retreat, its likely true. This is another case of them hanging onto old materials. Using the V3 Chassis developed during the first great war, and a new high-speed missile, they've developed this brand new system. The vehicle moves significantly faster than its predecessor, and with significantly better fuel economy. Add to this the high speed and nearly un-hittable missile it fires, and this is one of the UAN's more deadly artillery pieces.
