The year is 2055, more than thirty years after the events of Zero Hour, Earth suffers a catastrophic collision with meteorites. The world is thrown into turmoil as large swathes of land are annihilated. Four factions, the ADF (Asian Democratic Federation), WEA (West European Alliance), WLF (World Liberation Front), and AC (American Confederacy) are at war for control of the remaining already harder to find resources as well as the preservation of their nations and geopolitical interests. Welcome to Deep Impact.
Several years ago the Chinese army designed a new anti-air system for supporting their ground forces. By combining older military technology with the newest tracked chassis, the Type-100, or Quickfire, was born. Its nickname comes from its rapid firing 21mm quad cannons which can take out an unfriendly helicopter or plane in a matter of seconds. In line with this modern technology, the Quickfire is also equipped with a new target designation system which guarantees greatly improved accuracy of its shots.
Haha Major Upgrade!
Type 95 SPAAG?
might be, its based on chinese anti air
Quad tank?
Once again I'm afraid I can't see the resemblance. :(
The ZH GLA quad cannon had 4 guns and treads. That's the only similarity I can see between the 2 units.

Well, the next-gen of Quad Tank... =)
but this unit have 4 AA rockets
no, this unit has four anti-air cannons.
no missiles here.
Er, actually it IS going to have 4 AA rockets Camille, look carefully at the sides of the turret and you can see the rockets.
They'll probably end up being an upgrade in-game.
- Sam
are those rockets or missiles???
whoops my bad. care to inform your own team next time? :)
Sorry Camille. :P To be honest someone made a simple mistake. We didn't plan on rendering it with the missiles, since they are an upgrade. :)
And none of the team spotted the missile tubes before we posted it. Ah well doesn't matter now anyway.
- Sam
i swear the turret is a russian tunguska AA!
No, it's slightly different to Tunguska...
the turret looks like a russian tunguska AA gun, but the chassis looks a bit APCish
That door on the back of the tank, is this vehicle garrisonable???
Nah thats just asthetics
Ooh, i see...
Yeah, we thought having the Quickfire garrisonable as well as the Sky Knight, would make both units too similar.
- Sam
it's guns look kinda small compared to the tank size maybe add some kinde case but a badass one not a horribly disfigured gatling tank case lookalike
The guns may look small, but trust me, in-game they're plenty powerful. :P
- Sam
i like the smal gas tank nice texture :P
is that a radar on top does it move?
Yup, it moves via in-game animation. However currently it serves no gameplay purpose, it's just a visual touch. :P
- Sam
ok sam will AA guns hit aircraft directly or thel be realstic and miss some shots?
The extra milliliter will make all the difference!
