The year is 2055, more than thirty years after the events of Zero Hour, Earth suffers a catastrophic collision with meteorites. The world is thrown into turmoil as large swathes of land are annihilated. Four factions, the ADF (Asian Democratic Federation), WEA (West European Alliance), WLF (World Liberation Front), and AC (American Confederacy) are at war for control of the remaining already harder to find resources as well as the preservation of their nations and geopolitical interests. Welcome to Deep Impact.
The doomed WEA Centurion continues it's losing battle against two UAN Dragonlord's, while Scorchers fight their own battle against a WEA armoured column.
Just how effective will fire and low-cal. bullets be against armored units?
Who said anything about bullets :P . The centurion will fire something alot more interesting than bullets. And even if they were bullets, what on earth makes it look like they are low callibre. Higher than this and they are called shells.
What I meant was: will you use a more realistic damage- and armor system like most modern C&C games and mods do (a squad of riflemen can't kill a tank in 2 seconds, unlike in the pre-2007 C&C games)?
i think so if you want a good armor/dasmage system dfownload the greatest most realistic mod now and i doubt no one wil make a more real mod
We will rework some of it. I already suggested it internaly along time before you. It's really fuckt up to see a small infantry with a rifle take out tanks or structures. And even bullet based vehicles ... remembers how humvees or quad trucks pawned bouth tanks and structures. But to much we won't change, because it would require a totaly overhaull of the game armor types, and a totaly new rebalance for every unit/structure/civilian etc. Our goal here is for a first quality release. Stuff like this is rather low on our priority list right now.
Liquid gold and rainbows? That would be cool...
