This little addon provides an advanced dosimeter, which can be used to determine the radiation contamination of zones. All you need to do is pick it up - just like a detector - and start taking measurements. Enjoy!
More about dosimeter measurements: this device records the movement of ionizing particles with its Geiger counter. The player can be outside the infected zone and receive data from it, thereby detecting dangerous places for themselves, however, the sensitivity of the device does not allow determining the exact position of the zone. In addition, radioactive zones at close range can affect the dosimeter (and the player), giving their values as a summation, which can be misleading. Often, the dosimeter detects radioactive damage in ~1 second, however, there are such foci that have a slightly different penetration frequency - these are water and mutants. It is recommended to use a dosimeter to determine safe paths in anomalous accumulations or during a "naked walk" in the ChEZ. Also, using this device, you can determine the radioactive contamination of your body, using a special key or through the context menu of the item, the device itself must be in hand - after scanning the body, the dosimeter will display your contamination for 5 seconds, but note that background radiation will also be displayed (this can be very confusing, so take measurements in a safe place). This operation does not consume additional power.
31.07.22: 15:33(JST): Now at the beginning of the game in the 4th quick slot there is no dosimeter (crash prevention)
01.08.22: The dosimeter model has been improved, and hand animations have been created specifically for this item. The algorithm for determining radioactive zones has been improved - now you can determine them without going inside! Also, the dosimeter gradually discharges you when carried in your hands, and in the absence of electricity, it will not be put away in a backpack.
01.08.22: 18:11(JST): Fixed a bug with a sharply changing value on the dosimeter.
03.08.22: "Delta time bugfixes" has been fully adapted.
13.08.22: Adapted "Delta time bugfixes" for 13.08.22
01.09.22: Now the dosimeter displays the radiation in the water correctly.
15.09.22: Adapted "Delta time bugfixes" for 15.09.22
16.09.22: Fixed a bug with broken bolts (bugtracker: ximikleks). Previously, the dosimeter cracked when unloaded, but now this error has been fixed.
11.10.22: Fixed animations of the hand with a dosimeter - now when running it does not twitch from side to side.
13.11.22: 22:00(JST): The bug with displaying the dial on the "R3" renderer has been completely fixed - the fact is that "InitTexture(string)" sets textures without taking into account the applied shaders. Unfortunately, DA 0.98b is not built on the latest COC build (which was released after the OBT), so "InitTextureEx(string, string)" does not work, but I substituted pre-made forms in XML and everything went according to plan! The problem with glare on the model was also solved - perhaps not in the best way, but now you can always see the dial in the light. Also, the calculation for the rate of change of the in-game time has now been removed and now the dosimeter in the hand consumes 0.5% of energy per minute.
14.11.22: 00:52(JST): I kind of figured out how to design a specular map and now the dosimeter should not have glare at all. Sorry, business as usual.
12.12.22: 00:04(JST): The algorithm for determining the radiation background in anomalies has been updated, as well as the definition and cleaning of other radiation lesions (water, for example). The fonts for the display of the dosimeter have been replaced, along with this, their overlay algorithm has been updated (quite a bit) and the vertical position on the model has been increased.
28.12.22: 19:35(JST): Fixed a crash related to the lack of a "radius" on the "shapes" of radioactive zones. It's hard to explain, just now this crash has been fixed.
28.02.23: 2:58(JST): The algorithm for displaying the player's radioactive contamination has been changed - now it is displayed on the dosimeter screen for 5 seconds and added to the background radiation. Yes, I know, many expect that "you can make an animation of how the player measures the radiation on himself, and then display the value on the screen of the device," but... it's very difficult, if only because you have to use "play_hud_motion" and create more a whole algorithm for the animation that still needs to be created - I can try to do it, but not now.
21.04.23: Now the dosimeter algorithm has been moved to a separate script file, which should improve the process of mixing with other addons. Fixed a non-fatal bug with activating a body check with a dosimeter.
16.06.23: Adapted "Delta time bugfixes" for 16.06.23
Братан, сделай такую же модель, только с замером радиации персонажа, а модельку возьми с Anomaly, там есть клевые.
do i need to start a new game?
I think yes. Unless the dosimeter on the "quick slot" will display the dosimeter if it was there before, but this is not a bug.
