DCI: Last Alliance is a submod for Third Age: Total War, focused on the War of the Last Alliance in the Second Age of Middle-earth.
A fantastic mod that was well worth the wait.
I was really hyped but i got a bit disapointed.
Troop stats are not that well defined, too much unbalanced. The name of certain settlements were chosen lazy. Osgiliath at this moment should be one settlement, AMon Lanc should belong to the elves. Certain areas of the map feel empty. Numenor AI in the south does nothing . Also they should hold more control of the north, including more settlements along the Gwathló/Gwathir river and Gondor should hold more of Calenardhon . It still playable but had some crashes from time to time

This mod is excellent, I think the only thing I wish was different was the pacing of the campaign. I like a slow deliberate build up with room for a little bit of Role Playing. But playing as the Galadhrim or Silvan Elves, by the time I've built up to a state where I can send a meaningfully helpful force to help against Sauron, Morder is in full steamroll mode and the Numenoreans are crumbling on all fronts.
Let me be clear though, as far as the models, units, buildings, factions, unit balance, etc. this mod is excellent. I think it just needed some tweaks around the Campaign AI/scripting, but just tweaks, and with those tweaks this mod could be damn near perfect.
This mod is excellent as is, definitely worth a play for anyone who is either a Tolkien fan or just wanting a new scenario to enjoy the Medieval 2 engine with.
One of the best submods for Third Age.
Feels really distinct from the base mod, and honestly is a bit more fun than something like DaC.
Sad to hear it's not being developed anymore, but I wish the devs the best of luck for the future.
Installation is way too convoluted compared to the content offered by the mod. I absolutely loathe it.
