As the title says, somewhere deep in the Tau's you can witness the beauty of space. And as you like can use it as Wallpaper :)
There is so much more as this in the upcoming release. Worth waiting!
This whole mod is just beautiful.
Aurora? In space? Forgive me if I'm being too scientific but does that mean there is an electromagnetic field there? And if so will it affect ships in any way? Either way its still my new wallpaper.
Excuse me for being too scientific too, but you're wrong: the Aurora Borealis doesn't appear because of the magnetic fields. True, the plasma is launched from the sun because a magnetic field breaks and the aurora appears near our planet's poles because of our magnetic field (the plasma gets concentrated at the Earth's magnetic poles), but it's visible only because Earth has a nice atmosphere. If Earth had no atmosphere - no aurora, if the Earth had no magnetic field - the aurora probably would have been visible around the whole planet, that is turned toward the sun (although probably the aurora would have been a lot dimmer or barely visible at all).
When the plasma hits our atmosphere it loses energy when colliding with the particles in our atmosphere and visible light is emitted in the process. That's why we can see it. For more on colors search in Google: "Why are there Colors in the Aurora?" (or use other similar phrase)
So, in the end aurora in outer space would be just a nebula. So, you should be asking why the nebula looks in that strange way. And the answer would probably be along the lines: "Because it looks cool. Sorry, no other scientific reason."
That's right, I forgot it was a chemical reaction with the atmosphere. Also explains why I failed that test last week *face palm* The main question though, was will this affect gameplay in a unique and fun way?
Chemistry has nothing to do with it. Just physics.
Actually due to xMas time, i think its more likely the chemtrails of St. Clause Sleigh...
But probably its just there because it is just there. :)
But there are at least 3 distinct trails, so there must minimum 3 Santas! How is that possible? Isn't cloning humans a taboo?
Who said Santa is a human?
You're right! How could I be so blind! He's Dom'Kavash! That's why Rudolph has blinking red nose: he's bio-engineered! (And because he dislikes colliding with planes and starships!)
It'll be so funny to have an AI Santa fighter shooting presents! Ha-ha-ha! Or should I say: "Ho-ho-ho!"?
LOL, nice idea... :)
Yeah, he could even have an escort of reindeers that fire cluster bomb... I mean cluster of elves... that would pack your ship with a colorful ribbon if they hit you.
imagining my old good Bassie covered in pretty ribbons... Laughing under my table now.
Everything related to Freelancer is beautiful.
