After a quick edit I finally managed to replace the syringe healing animation with the critical healing animation from the last bar of health.

The mechanics have not changed, you still need charges from medical boxes to heal yourself, the only difference is that another animation will be played.

Sorry for not fixing the mod for quite some time.
I think I figured out why the game crashes.
I uploaded a new version, which should hopefully fix the issue.

What scripts and/or files have you modified to make this mod?

Nevermind, I've found it!

To add this mod to other patch files, you need Gibbed Tools. I personally used "Enhanced Gibbed Tools with Hash Decoder". Look for it on here.
Unpack the patch files of this mod, and look in scripts/game/objects/pawn/statemachine . In here, what you need to copy is "healing.gosm.xml".
Repeat the process of unpacking, but with the patch file you would like to have this mod to. Then, go to the same directory and paste the file there. Afterwards, just re-pack the patch files, and you're done.

I do not condone of publishing this mod as your own. All credits are due to Skibbo.

Are they randomized, or still based on the type of damage you received?

It's still based on the type of damage you receive, just like in vanilla Far Cry 2.

Awesome!

I sent a PM about combining your mods and getting them to work with mine. Let me know if that's something you're interested in.

EDIT: Got them working together! This is awesome.
