You've narrowly escaped a rebel raid on the citadel, it was a success considering the cidadel was destroyed but most rebels didn't survive. You just barely managed by escaping in an advisor's escape pod. In mid-flight however the pod went haywire and dropped out of the sky. You crashed it what looks like an abandoned industry, luckily you still have a connection to the rebel radio controler back at base. The complex you've landed in is under combine control, they've set up a strong hold and breaking through their defences won't be easy. Since you've landed here anyway you take the chance to find out what the combine are doing by moving deeper into the complex.

Crashdown: Update 1

News

A little longer than a week has passed since I announced CrashDown here on moddb.

(Too long? summary at the bottom.)

Things have been going very well, made lots of progress with the levels, I'm now done with chapter one.

With the feedback I've been getting from you (the viewers) I've been able to improve the looks and feel of the maps, so please continue to give feedback! I'll be uploading shots here on moddb throughout the time I work on the mod but again, if you really want to get involved check out Mmgdta.blogspot.com where there will be more frequent updates and more in-depth information.

To suit some developments in the mod I'm changing some parts of the story line. Changes I hope will add more depth to the story and in the long run make it more interesting for the player.

Next I'll be posting screenshots of chapter 2 which takes place outdoors and I'll be unveiling a brand new game play dynamic. If all goes well I will also have progress on new weapons to replace the standard hl2 ones. These custom weapons will have some changes, most will have slower firing rates with increased damage. So to keep up with these updates make sure to track the mod!

already, since the last news post I've added quite a bit of new media.

your wall is ... unusual. Not affected by gravity in the least unless a piece is blown completely apart from the wall...and the floating bits is unusual too... perhaps run some rebar through the wall so it seems like the brick is clinging to the rebar? I'm just trying to find a workaround for the floating. looks promising though.

Well, we're not planning any game play radically different from hl2 so any multiplayer mod related to the storyline wouldn't be very unique.
