After the death of Bolesław Krzywousty, Poland was divided between his sons. Now, in 1247, the seigniorage system has long since collapsed, and the former Polish kingdom is divided into many duchies that are fighting among themselves. Becasue of these fights polish princes are unable to protect former realm borders from their neighbours - and they won't remain passive passive - both Teutonic Knights, Lithuanians, Brandenburgers, Ruthenians and Czechs turn their eyes to weakened neighbors and look for opportunities to expand.
Hello, in today update I want to present you a brand, new banners for every new factions which be in a mod. I have done a lot of work, but finally I finished them - there were a lot of work to do. I had to make balance between uniqueness, historical accuracy and distinguishability. Some of banners are not 100% historical accurate, unfortunately I didn't manage to find enough sources and coats of arms to use. Some of them have diffrent colour - it was make to enable distinction (you know, making 10 red banners which different only by symbol could be not convenient for player on battle map). But without further ado I present you banners on which I spent a lot of time. These are:
Principality of Turov
Principality of Chernigov
Principality of Vladimir
Principality of Polotsk
Principality of Ryazan
Principality of Smolensk
Principality of Pereyaslavl
Principality of Galicia–Volhynia
Kingdom of Sweden
Livonian Order
Margraviate of Brandenburg
Duchy of Pomerania-Stettin
Duchy of Pomerelia
Kingdom of Bohemia
Duchy of Silesia
Duchy of Opole
Duchy of Poznań
Duchy of Kalisz
Duchy of Kuyavia
Duchy of Masovia
Duchy of Czersk
Duchy of Kraków
And that's all. Hope you enjoy. Mod is nearly finished, I only need to do unit roster, write descriptions for campaign and fix some small things.
I want to present shields done for some factions in mod.
Some basic info about mod, i predict that mod will be release between March and August. Enjoy!
Is this coming out soon?
Na taki projekt czekałem i nie mogę ukryć podekscytowania.
a kto by nie czekał
Hello, you might want to take a look to this project:
Moddb.com
It looked very, very good, but unfortunately it was never finished. Maybe try to get in touch with the modder - there was a lot of good things already done, according to the previews, that you might eventually use on your project.
Good luck!
Thank you. I know Ad Mari a Mare and I regret that it has not been finished. It's much more ambitious than my mod and would be a joy to play. About the stuff from it, I'm not so sure about using them in mine. My vision for my mod was to make it as similar to the original as possible, making it look like a new expansion to good old Medieval 2.
show us some units
There are some of them on screenshots. At this point I working on unit roster for some factions, and I will show final effect soon.
Ah yes, the Ruthenians or Russians. I hope that this will be a good historical and if possible accurate representation of a part of Polish and [Slavic] history.
Best of luck!
Thanks a lot. About historical accuracy - I tried to make it as much accurate as I could, but there are some limitation of game engine. For example I had to give up from Kalmar Union, because of faction limits. And because I develop mod on my own I am not able to check everything for 100% historical accuracy and I've made some simplifications for the sake of gameplay.
amazing
