Contra is a freeware modification for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour real-time strategy game and one of the first mods for this game. It adds many new units as well as numerous new upgrades, new general's powers and buildings. It also adds new sounds, maps, bug fixes, enhanced graphics, and other effects, as well as three new generals.
Cyber Dog is fully mechanical, and produced in Barracks. It is very fast, and because of this, is mostly used as infantry hunter. With its sharp iron teeth, it rips enemy infantry into pieces with one bite. You can use it in early game to block tech structures from being captured by your enemy. It is very effective vs. GLA generals. Due to its mechanical body, machine guns cannot harm it seriously. But RPGs and all other armor-piercing weapons can kill it almost instantly. Since it is a pure robot, it is vulnerable to ECM. Can be upgraded with Exoskeletons and Advanced Data Transmission upgrades.
He is good as pet too..

AFAIK, in ROTR GLA have severe problems with early dog rush from Europe. So, the first thing I'll ask: how do I counter Cyber Dog rush if it's intended to efficiently kill infantry?
In Contra dog costs more than one droid. Current price is 700. He is good for early rush but not so much as you may think. Gla builds barracks much faster than USA. One rpg can protect you from dog. Also, all usual games start with 10 000, spending money on dog must be very careful. Purchasing dog can be good, but also deadly.

maybe adding an upgrade for the dog like a tracking rocket system. it deals tiny amount of damage but reveals a targetted enemy(only tanks) and also a crouch ability makes it invisible but spotted if an enemy is to close
Isn't this basically a robot dog? I don't get how this is a cyborg general is there are robots instead of cyborgs. Although cyborg sounds cooler then robot general, so far I haven't seen any cyborgs.
Vehicles and aircraft are of course robots, but infantry are actual cyborgs (half-human, half-robot).
