Contra is a freeware modification for Command and Conquer Generals: Zero Hour real-time strategy game and one of the first mods for this game. It adds many new units as well as numerous new upgrades, new general's powers and buildings. It also adds new sounds, maps, bug fixes, enhanced graphics, and other effects, as well as three new generals.
The Chinese Bunkers received new models. The reason we made them is that sometimes when the terrain is bumpy, garrisoned infantry deals damage to the Bunkers. Firing ports were elevated and the problem is gone.
The left Bunker is the standard Bunker for Flame and Tank Generals.
The right one is the Fortified Bunker for Infantry General.

If the terrain in front of the Bunker is higher than the firing ports, the infantry firing from inside damages the Bunker by hitting the ground in front of the Bunker. You can try it out.
China Bunker for China Boss General is not planned.
Yeah, I know about that one. It's freaking annoying if you want to build up a defense line and you'll figure out that your bunker gets damaged when the Tank Hunters are firing out of it ... :/

I found that sometimes ATGM operator shoots enemies in shorter range than usual when they auto attack or fire from bunkers. Is this just me?
Also is the bunker still provides bonus range and fire power to infantries inside?
All buildings in the game give range bonus to infantry inside.
Why Infantry general doesn't have rank 3 close combat vehicles or rank 3 close combat defense structures ?
I have a new idea.
Rank 3 unit 'Black Tortoise' Heavy transport that infantry cannot fire from inside unless its deployed into stationary heavy bunker. It also carry more than one upgrade, such as 'gattling cannon, propaganda tower, mini artillery battery, radar, explosion proof armor, ECM dish, etc
New rank 3 vehicles and structures are not needed.
Fortified bunkers are constantly under siege and blow up easily even with support of ECMs, artillery callers and artillery batteries. I try to rebuild the bunker but enemys attack dozers directly even without direct vision. How do I cope with it?

Constantly under siege? This doesn't sound good. Try using Troop Crawlers to push forward and take a few Dozers with them. When there's a good moment, build Bunkers with these Dozers to create a fortification. Use Helixes filled with infantry for support.
In addition, Attack Dozers have less armor against missile armed infantry in 008.
Not really a constant under siege. Sorry for overreaction.
1. game starts as 2 player map: I as Infantry, hard enemy as cyber or airforce.
2. I build a bunker with 4 minigunners and 4 tank hunters with propagander and gattling cannon with a inferno, an outpost and a dozer for repairs.
3. enemy bombers attacks weak targets such as dozers, propaganders and gattling cannons. Then I try to replace/repair but ended taken out by bombers before the repair is fully done. Even I send new dozers with upgraded armor with no enemys around, bombers keep destroying dozers even without they can't see it directly (even without spy drones).
4. While I strugging rebuilding defences, enemy's ground forces take over severly damaged defences even with full healthed bunkers with infantry inside. Even when I have access to ECMs, artillery callers and artillery batteries that prevents ground forces to engage, enemy bombers still hurt a lot to my defences. Even few F-16 XLs and B-4 Chimeras cause devastating damage to bunkers. There are any counter strategy against bombers? I want to attack quickly but Assult troop transport is really reagile and Battle fortress requires rank five. I really need rank 3 heavy transport and rank 3 stronger bunker or upgrades for bunkers.
Try putting Gattling Troop Crawlers in front of the Bunkers and move them left and right. Enemy bombers will be destroyed easily. Gattling Cannons are not very effective in this case. Bombers can deal with them in no time. Always use mobility against bombers. When you reach rank 3, spread Red Arrows in front of your defense line. Make sure you destroy Spy Drones (they will detect your Red Arrows). You can use J-10s against them and other ground units. It's not a good idea to build lots of defense structures around your base. You have to be agressive. This will keep the AI away from your base. Always expand your base when in a good moment. Search for tech structures and supply sources. Build new bases there and you will get close to the enemy base. Garrison civilian buildings to gain control of the map faster. I hope this helps you.
Making Bunkers tougher will turn Infantry General into Super Weapons General and this is not in his style.

Why IFV and Attack outposts are very expensive ($1200)? It needs more transport spaces or make it cheaper. If me and an opponent had produced units with same total cost, (Infantry+transport vs tanks only) tanks outnumber transports with infantry inside because of high costs of transports.
Are you planning to make IFV 8 slots and Attack outposts 6 with come out as empty in Contra 008?
I'm playing Challenge mode Infantry vs Tanks in medium difficulty. The Shaitans will counter attack if they are attacked. This makes me to fortify my defenses with loads of mines in their path or attack with nuke silos until they die. That is like a play style of Super Weapons General. Are there any other way to destroy Shaitans? I want to play Infantry General as Infantry General not Super Weapons General.
IFV has a very powerful Gattling Cannon mounted on top of it. It's a lot stronger than Gattling Tank and Quad Cannon. The 4 sitplaces are a plus to the cost too. Use the Assault Troop Crawler versus ground enemies since it has 8 sitplaces. It comes empty in 008. In addition, all Challenge maps will be revised in 008.
Are you planning to make all gatling weapons in Infantry General puncture heavy armor when their gatling barrels are spinning quickly enough just like gatling tanks and gatling cannons from Yuri's Revenge?
No. They will remain strong versus infantry and aircraft. They are currently balanced.
