The Abrams' barrel seems a bit short, don't you think?

Why are they shooting at point blank? The effective range of the Abrams is about 4km.. which granted would be larger than any of the maps in COH but would allow for much longer LOS fire support.
Look at one previous picture back then, they aim to look like that! Dream come true. XD
the Abrams would win easily it should be much more powerful and the new model the ?U.S army uses is the M1_A2 which is even more powerful
