Command & Conquer 5 Return of Scrin (MOD EDITION)

This MOD is a continuation from Command & Conquer 4 Tiberian Twilight.™
We all felt like our hearts and souls had been thrown away when the end of the Tiberian Twilight came to be. However, luckily, the CCS MOD Group has come to repair what has been done.

By making sense of the events of C&C4; and creating a storyline to fit (as best as is feasibly possible). Hey, what is the worst that can happen, we make a mess of it and someone else does it better. So, it's full steam ahead for us now as we blow the dust off of an old classic for 2021.

The original plan has been entirely scrapped, and a new story is being built based on what did happen in the Ascension Conflict, namely at the end of it. How to make sense of the change in Technology from Crawlers back to Classic MCV's... The original plan was to using Hacking as the explanation, but that didn't hold water. So, I came up with something new. As is classic Command & Conquer fashion, we will use the Temporal Displacement Device. Einstein used it, Kane used it, and then the Soviets had their version and used it. Now we are going to cook up our one and use it. This in a very helpful way explains the CCS and their appearance on the timeline all of a sudden, so that works.

Kicking back to the final moments of the Commander in Tiberian Twilight. No matter what Campaign you played with, I am going to have to make one very slight edit.
SPOILERS!

As the Commander, instead of dying on the spot, the Mrs decides to do something drastic. So you get used as a means of activating another Portal. However, she doesn't know what she's doing, and these Threshold Towers are able to do more than just the ordinary Wormhole from one planet to another. By no intention of the Scrin, it turns out these things can traverse time. However, in doing so, the Tower becomes vulnerable in the process. Thus the war begins from the moment you land.

Going from the moment the Tower first came Online, the Scrin Mothership attempts to leave. However, in doing so, it's aware of the configuration of the Tower having been reconfigured to something they don't recognise. With NOD falling, and GDI almost at the tower, you happen to be lucky enough that in the stupidity of the Mrs, she manages to transport some forces from both NOD and GDI of the Tiberian Twilight Timeline. Effectively granting you the availability of both. No longer in a critical state since the Tower is sustaining you, you then form a Temporal Paradox. You however are not fully conscious, and have not got full control over your body. The Mrs decides to defend the tower at the request of the Scrin Commander's Translator. This is where things get messy.

You open your eyes partially to find a blurry figure of the Translator and the Mrs talking. You are only able to make out a few words, but are able to ascertain that the Scrin have got their own disagreements and that they what payback of their own against their masters. Thus, multiple Scrin Factions. They have information that is helpful to the common goals of both themselves and of you. Effectively, you get to cheat death by total miracle and they get to save an advanced species that's actually got what it takes to face them. There's only one unpredictable factor... Kane.

I'm going to keep this short.


Electronic Arts has done it again, they've basically given me some legal blah blah that ultimately says that I can't release any Updates to any of my MOD's that I have for any Games that are the Interstitial Property of Electronic Arts or any of its partners. I'd be walking on eggshells if I tried, and they could get nasty at any time if they chose. I'm not in a habit of poking Lions as they Sleep.

Translated: All MOD's that were under the development of the CCS Command & Conquer MOD Group, have been Frozen. The data that has already been released can remain as is as far as I know, but this may need to be pulled at a later date. While not cancelled entirely, I'm unable to release anything, so this means it might as well be.

Not my fault, it's some E-Mail that I got from Electronic Arts, and their point of contact for dealing with MOD's such as mine. While on one hand, I could in theory release the current Version of my main MOD Command & Conquer 5, this would no longer be covered legally. Thus if EA wanted to play nasty, they could then decide to make a legal claim against me. I used to be previously covered by a Legal bit of paper, but that's now expired as it was over 10 Years ago (when the project was first conceived).


Is this the end of me on MODdb, short answer no. I'm about to start working on something else instead.

Is this the end of the CCS Command & Conquer MOD Group, yes, by that name at least. I can no longer keep the name as it currently is, so it's going to be renamed. Basically, it's not allowed to have "Command & Conquer" in its name.

hi ..anyone can help me..i put the all file in root folder of the game y hit CNC5.exe game run all fine ..but y dont have any of scrin campaign...and no skirmish ..I mention that if I try other mods it works for me

So, the issue is that the Licence got pulled.
Thus, I'm not actually any longer authorised to make any MOD's on the Platform.

As confusing as it is, it's just EA being EA.
They want to 'Hog' the Franchise, and won't let anyone else use it.
Since my Project actually made changes to Game Files, and thus required an Additional Installation, it's not so easy as just change the Name.

So, as a result, the Project has been Pulled in some capacity, though I've made a few Assets that were originally intended for usage on this Project, they'll just have to be used elsewhere.

Obviously, if EA decides to allow me to Publish the Project again in the Future, then I'll post what I've got at that time.

By the way, I have s question about modding, is it possible to mod singleplayer campaigns for C&C3; and RA3? And if so how can I do it?
(I am not talking about the 'custom maps' for C&C3;)
