The TSM project tries to recreate the Tiberian Sun missions and tries to stick as possible as it can to the original campaigns while making adjustments. It is using the great Tiberium Essence Mod made by Carnius, check it out first !

The upcoming GDI demo


The first TSM Demo map ("Initiation") has been recreated and will include all difficulties (like all other maps I'll make), with a little special twist on hard mode... I'm currently making the second demo map ("Clean Sweep") and I'll release these maps. That is why you will see a release date, it is not for the GDI campaign, but it is just the release date of the GDI Demo!

In the mean time, I'm continuing the GDI campaign. So far, the second and third missions have been made: Secure the area & Capture the train station. I know it's not much but there is a little bit of quality added, and I prefer to take time on this big project.

Please note that the cutscenes aren't yet included but I'm trying to, without creating a proper mod.

(I'm trying to compress avi files to the vp6 format but virtual dub does not like me so far, it would be nice if someone knows how to import videos in c&c 3.)

Other improvements


As you already know, the TSM project tries to stick as possible as it can to the original missions (to an extent), so any units/structures not useful for the TS missions will be disabled, this also applies for the special powers. For instance, saboteurs & nod harvesters aren't invisible, garrison in civilian structures is also disabled,... However I've decided to make garrison avaible for watch towers, since they are pretty useless in TS, and I've felt like the TSM missions would be too easy. Now they can be usefull, and use the c&c 3 "garrison gimmick". The aim of TSM is also to make the missions fun and not boring or frustrating. This is what it looks like now:

I tested the first GDI and Nod mission on the recently released TE 2.0 Alpha and haven't found any issues.
Hopefully, none will crop up in the remaining ones. :-)

Just played both GDI demo missions and Nod demo missions. Superp work! Were GDI missions based on missions from TS demo? Cause I can't seem to find the original version anywhere.

Btw I encountered a couple of bugs while playing Nod's missions.
In Retaliation. I captured barracks and warfactory located southeast of the map and mission wont end unless I sold the warfactory. missions still ends with barracks captured oddly.
-In Free Rebel Commander. There are two laser turrets(one at the right of two gates and the other west of Hassan's main base) that constantly rebuild itself even after the conyard is captured(haven't test what happen if conyard is destroyed). One minor bug is that sometimes the harvester only harvest one patch of tiberium at a time as oppose to harvesting until it's storage is full then return to refinery.

Ignore the GDI demo mission question above. Somehow I missed the info mention in the description

Just replayed Retaliation and Free Rebel Commander.
-Retaliation. This time I captured all of Hassan's building and mission wont end unless I sold both the warfactory at southeast base and barracks near the tv station.
-Free Rebel Commander. The two turrets I mention above still rebuild themselves even after all of Hassan's main base is destroyed.

The following isn't bugs and I personally don't mind them but since you want TSM to be as close to the original as possible.
-Player can purchase upgrades at T2 structures. Be it GDI radar or Nod radar.
-Raider buggy can use emp ability if upgrade is purchase
-Scarap APC can lay mines and infantry inside can fire outside.

There's cloak Nod harvester and garrisoning structures but you already mention them in the article above so you already know.

Again great work remaking them. Can't wait for the complete TS and FS missions.

Curious tho, Tiberian Sun Rising mod is still being develop and recent updates make it seems close to being finish. So if TSR mod were to release in the future, What would you do?

Thank you for the info! (To balance factions I'll keep some upgrades avaibles, they allow more strategies & progress)
For TSR, I'll have to look if it's not missing any crucial TS elements like APCs on water. TE is currently missing some things too like trains or the WAM launch pyramid. Either way, if TSR appears to be way better than TE, I'll use it instead OR TSM will be compatible with these two mods ! (depends on the ease of doing that)

Having original TS missions remade in TW is what i wanted since TW was released.
Current remade missions are made exactly as a remember them. A great work and thank you !
