During it's mission to destroy the resistance a prototype combine soldier starts to malfunction after surviving a large explosion and eventually becomes disconnected from the combine. Without the combine to guide it the prototype starts to take orders from the voices within.
This is an example of the damage modifier at work, here using the suit zoom doubles the weapons power and the metrocop is taken down in 3 bullets rather than six. This shows that code independant from the weapon can alter a weapons properties.
Well executed idea for a HL2 mod. I've always wanted to see that feature. Will you be applying the same effect across the board for all weapons ? It would definitely add a welcomed new element to the game play dynamics.
At the moment it works on all weapons but it can be tuned to work on an individual weapon/situation. I'm looking at incorporating perks into the game and this will make it much easier.
