1280x720? I've never seen a screen with that resolution...
Why not 1280x1024 :(.
Thats 16:9 HD Widescreen Resolution
...yeah I forgot again to render it out in 1080p and went 720p instead...blame myself ^^
Oh, you.
1280×720.. that's a kinda baby-size widescreen :P
as a 3D artist to a 3D artist, can I ask what rendering tools do you use?
yeah I use this size mostly to save render times and then I like the result and forget to do a higher res render :P
3ds max with vray with vraysun as light. ground is just a plane with lots of segments and a displacement map. smoke and dust was added in photoshop
looks like christmas coming early, COMMAND AND CONQUER free to play may be late, but at least we have this, kinda reminiscing the previous mentioned game style, you know more beef up!!
@ Keksz
got a technical question, would general crash i you put more polygons into the engine than the original game used to have?? just trying to understand the engine and your modding a bit better :)
...yes we are already at the maximum of polys for most models to make the game not lag for decent computers.
what if the computer is more powerful more recent one?? my intend is to find out whether the power of the pc matter more, or the engine itself as well. from what i can see here, your units polygon counts seem rival the upcoming Command and Conquer free to play with frostbite 2, and the Tiberian Twilight too, I am trying to find out if general engine in term of polygon count can be pushed to that extreme.
thanks for sharing knowledge!!
No it cannot. Over a certain amount of polygons it doesnt matter if you have a nuclear powered PC or a stoneage one, because the engine will just crush. Our polygon count is quite limited, even though units look extremly detailed. That's Keksz's magic hands of texture fapping. If you want to test your pc, use modern games not 10 years old ones.
Wow dude just awsome.
