City Nine is Set in a Post-Combine America during an Alternate Timeline, also prior to Freemans Arrival. This mod is literally just one heavily unfinished level and two ported beta weapons. Nothing else. Its not even FINISHED.
Heyo! Dapper here, and im writing to say that there is now a new tutorial/beginning to the mod, beginning in BLACK MESA! However, it is not THE black mesa, simply another location that the company had. I know it probably wont be in line with the actual story, but i thought it'd be fun. This is also taken from EPISODE TWO. Hopefully i'll either pack the content in or actually update it to include the textures for the place.
New Main Menu Map + Skybox
Thats right, instead of the bright and joyful sky, we now have the.. excuse me, *inhales*
Beta skyboxes! There may be seams in it but that is out of my control due to it being a beta port.
The skybox has also been added to the title, which i released an image of a little bit ago.
Also featuring: Ported Metrocop Textures! Since this is set in a beta-styled universe, and i cant take the amazing looking trench-cop models, i used the textures instead! Slightly altered to remove the city seventeen numbering on the armband.
I now have added a shooting range! It too is unfinished at the moment, it is intended to have 3d skyboxes but those have all been bugging out lately when i try to add them.
And now welcoming.. The flaregun! Taken right from our friend O-Dell over on the borealis! I would reanimate it if i could, but due to the fact my PC is a literal potato, that is unlikely.
Basically the files of the unfinished original. Im moving the mod to mapbase so go ham with this stuff lol.
How did you get the dark and griddy beta weapons
I ported them from the beta, Currently they're in a rough state as i cant get a working game.sln file up, so they're basically reskins.
