C&C: ShockWave is an enhancement mod for C&C Generals: Zero Hour. The main goal of this mod is to make Zero Hour a more interesting game with more diversity between the generals, making you think twice before you select a certain general, and overall provide more choices, diversity, and strategic freedom than in Zero Hour - while keeping the spirit and design direction of the original Generals game and storyline.

As great as Shockwave is, the generals challenges are too tame for me. I've made edits and additions to the General Challenge maps included in Shockwave 1.1 to make them more challenging. All edits have been made with respect for the original challenge design and map asthetic because if you mess with the character of these challenges the fun you're having drops like a brick. For example Kwai now builds from 8 factories instead of 2 with a near infinite amount of starting cash, this combined with me redoing all of the attack teams the ai tries to use (larger companies that include the Reaper and Warmaster, which the AI previously didn't build) results in a lot harder, a lot more authentic and I think a lot more fun Challenge. Along with the new aggression and increased number production facilities comes that most of the facilities have to be constructed first, so this gives one plenty of time to prepare, I found this balances everything very nicely. To install this mod, extract the file into your Zero Hour directory, and AFTER YOU'VE BACKED UP THE ORIGINAL FILE, overwrite it with this one.
THE CHALLENGES ARE MEANT TO BE PLAYED ON 'HARD'. The AI will not function correctly if used on any other difficulty. If you want a true min-maxing of your strategy experience, many reloads and restarts to perfect your strategy, this patch is definitly for you!
