Command & Conquer Red Alert History is a small mod that adds a few new units. The idea came about because I wondered what a few Red Alert units would look like and perform inside the Tiberium wars engine. I consider this mod a 'museum', wherein I add a few historical pieces that I like into the C&C3; engine! The Mod will be updated by adding a few units at a time (typically around 10 items). The mod is a mixture of mostly EA & public models, as well as a few original models done by me. Check the forums & articles for detailed information and for in-depth discussion.
*Pre-alpha Release 8 testing*
This is footage of some FX testing that I had done for the Nighthawk's 'Storm Shadow' cruise missile (a very expensive tier 3 individual upgrade).
In this test I was checking out various aspects, including the heroic red tint (hence the speedy ranking up). In the end I decided that my particle tint attempt was horrible, so I am instead using the standard TW method.
Also based on this test, I have made the sound of the missile ignition point more pronounced (the missile drop sound had a higher priority).
The 'Longarm' upgrade is designed to add a 'proper' artillery option for the Allies, but at huge expense, and time. Provided you have good intelligence, and also have a few multi-role aircraft ready, you should be able to make poor usage of this unit an expensive mistake.
Of course on maps dominated by mountains and\or cliff areas, or maps surrounded by water, defending against this unit becomes prohibitively difficult, but that is always the case for these kinds of maps when it comes to aerial units.

From weak transport, to Air artillery. Amazing design, to be honest.
I really like the idea of aircraft artillery. It's not a very common premise in RTS, somehow, I can only remember SC2 Tempest and some Generals Contra units that would perform such a niche.
The Scrin have the Warship, which is a line AoE artillery unit, that deals Grenade damage, which makes it good vs buildings.
Oh right, I completely forgot about Scrin! I'm any case there's still quite a deficit of aerial artillery, it's such a fun unit premise...
the dish on the airforce HQ should be smaller in my opinion, but that`s just my Opinion.
