Command and Conquer 3: The Forgotten aims to bring back and tell the story of a fascinating faction. The Forgotten, featured in Tiberian Sun and Firestorm, are an ever-growing group of individuals afflicted with Tiberium-based illnesses. Detested, marginalized, and oppressed by the three superpowers, The Forgotten have begun to rally against GDI, Nod, and the Scrin. Since their story is not featured in C&C 3, the mod aims to tell it in a compelling fashion, through a deep singleplayer campaign, unique faction composition, and engaging gameplay. The Forgotten is also the only mod to feature high-definition Full Motion Videos, just like real C&C games, that advance the story.
Here you can see all of The Forgotten units and structures identified. Great for preparing for those tense battlefield moments when you'll need to react quickly, or for getting a sense of the art of the mod. The Forgotten have a distinctive art style that was carefully developed over the past three years by Head Artist Tsumetai, Concept Artist Kane Nash, and artists Nielsen, Nick Allain, paimail, Andy Littleton, Helge, stygs, chronosheep, rishi, and SchindlerJon.
Wow.Awesome..NOW the mutants will be reminded!!!
Reminded? You so silleh, you mean remembered!
Oh sht...My bad English hit another time! (error?)
Silleh or silly?
Thanks for this, the units look brilliant!
please add the Ironback and Scrapbus!
Please don't! Or if you do, use custom versions.
Ironback? No, just no. Scrap Bus would be good though but there's already the War Camper. If they ever put in the Scrap Bus in this mod, I do so hope it would be like the GLA Battle Bus and not a bus with 4 giant retarded guns. Then again, the Longhorn is simply a more effective battlefortress than a civilian bus...
I actually suggested to have some kind of Bus in the game. In TS, The forgotten had the Armed Pickup Truck (The Jeep in C&C3: Forgotten), the Armored Bus (also in C&C4 as the Scrap Bus) and an Armed RV (The War Camper in C&C3: Forgotten). I think having an Armored Bus of some kind (Heavy APC? Anti-air/Anti-infantry? Mobile Bunker?) would fit in and feel quite natural. PizzaAtomica did a really nice concept of a Forgotten Bus for C&C: Tiberian Eclipse, and it looks like it is in-game in C&C3 and it fits quite nicely with the game and the Forgotten units in this mod.
If we put aside the hatred for CnC4 (I liked some parts of it btw, I just mean hatred by others), we can all agree that Scrapbus was strangely fitting the Forgotten lore. It must be that combination of something innocent like a school bus being reused for something brutal. I must admit that a schoolbus with guns is an intriguing concept.
C&C4 added a LOT of crap, and some ok stuff. the ironback was outright crap, the concept of the scrapbus was alright, but the execution was an embarrassment... no.
...Logistics...Blimp?
Blimp must be the ugliest english word I heared of. On the other hand Airship sounds Epic.
Yes use Logistics Airship.
Very nice work.
Come on, 'derigible' sounds uglier than 'blimp'. :P
derigible sounds awesome, but only if you're doing a 1900's steampunk game ;)
btw blbpaws, glad you liked MEC2's airships and GOI airfield layout ;)
The confession I have to make is that I haven't actually played MEC2. It's definitely on my list of things to do once we finish this mod, but it's something that just never happened, as this mod was taking up so much of my time.
But I don't do concept art, so maybe Kane Nash, who did do it, played MEC2. I'll ask him.
I've played MEC2 and honestly I don't see the similarities. The logistics blimp reminded me of the Kirov more than anything when I first saw it.
Awesome work guys!
I've always wondered why you guys have "Commando" named such.... I would've thought this would be the return of Ghoststalker. Or do you guys have something planned for him yet? The MCV though looks pretty badass.
The idea was that, unlike TibSun and the Red Alert series, the hero units in the Tib games (TibDawn and TibWars, and TibSun for Nod) aren't "celebrities" like Tanya, they're just highly trained individuals like the Commando. Thus explaining how they can die yet be retrained at the barracks.
Also remember that this mod takes place 15 years after TS. Ghost Stalker might not be on the battlefield anymore by that point.
Hmmm I thought Ghost Stalker was the name that was given to a mutant commando. I understand that this is set after TS but seeing as The Forgotten still possess old tech, it's not completely out of the question.
Long horn is amazing!
Noooo!!! Where's Ghost Stalker?? He was so badass!!!
