So, I've been following this mod for a long time. I've yet to play it too much because I found the game way too easy for my tastes (which is something just under Misery levels).

My dream had been to craft a mod to make the game have much better progression with a lot of the "standard" addons (ie: AO, Outfits, etc). With them, a lot of the loadouts of the NPCs are way out of whack, such as Renegades on the outskirts being armed with a mid-tier Warsaw pact assault rifle. This gets you weapons and cash reallllly fast.

I'd like to craft a mod to fix this. As I understand it, part of the reason for the goofy loadouts and what one could call nonsensical economy was a lack of support in 1.4 to easily make better loadouts. The other part being a nightmarish web of compatibility patches. Thus, I've been waiting for the next version.
I was thinking about doing this last summer, however 1.5 is still in beta. I've debated not bothering waiting anymore and just playing through whatever patchwork of addons that exists now... this wouldn't be the ideal experience for me though, and I'd like to get that ultimate stalkan experience with CoC.

That said, I don't follow the page too closely anymore, but is there a rough due date for 1.5? Is there anything I can do to help? I'm guessing playing the beta and fiddling with it... reporting subsequent crashes and Xray's screams of confusion as it hiccups? Don't take this the wrong way, because I'm incredibly busy with work and life etc myself, so I totally get that angle if that's the case for the devs.

There's talk of a new 1.5 beta test coming out literally any day now to hash out any remaining bugs, so keep your eyes peeled.

Personally I can't go back to anything derived from 1.4.22, it feels stone age compared to 1.5's earlier tests, broken as they may be in a couple fundamental ways. Going to be worth the wait IMO.

I would also like to know how/if it's progressing. I've been taking a break from STALKER awaiting CoC 1.5. But I'm really starting to have rad withdrawal here! Any chance a release is imminent?

Well, aside from bugs, I probably speculate that the dev team might be tweaking the X-Ray engine quite some more assuming that's how long they have been since Darryl's 1.5 teaser and Alundaio's April Fools video. Then again, I wish they release a quick video about what they're tweaking in CoC 1.5. Hmmm... I wonder what features that the X-Ray engine could demonstrate for CoC 1.5.

I also would like to know when they'll showcase the CWP mod. I would like to see videos on that.

Engine is pretty much always tweaked alongside changes that require it, but thankfully it's not too problematic most of the time.
I could record some footage about new features or changes, but it won't be a priority and will probably wait until playtesting.

CWP was cancelled. Could be revived, but no one in the team likes weapon addons for several reasons. Mainly they are just too big, resulting in a lot of problems and additions we don't like, which then leaves no motivation to continue working on it.

I'm still thinking about creating a small pack, but might drop it and just help someone out instead. I'd rather tweak or expand other parts of the game as everyone seems to be creating weapon related mods.

I kinda figured that the CWP mod was going be cancelled since it was a big comprehensive mod. I would like some information on how much more or little bug testing you guys are progressing. The long wait of anticipation would be well worth it for the good job you guys are doing.

By any chance could you guys contact the dev team behind the Gunslinger Mod for CoP to be integrated into CoC?

^lol Ignore that comment since the it was highly focused for CoP said by the developers.

Pretty sure I've asked before, if you do make a pack could you consider making shotguns moddable with hunting scopes? iirc this was planned in CWP

That doesn't depend on me, a model has to exist with scope support, which is rare.

I see, fair enough. Your right with weapon packs anyway. If Gunslinger is ever finished then basically everything else is redundant.

Well if you like to play with AO next update has extended addons, for example these are the supported scopes for the TOZ-34 (EOTech, cmore, open reflex, ac11090, mk4, PU and ACOG.)

About the CWP mod, what features did you guys have in mind that made AO 3.1, OWR, and STCoP weapon packs different or lesser than CWP? What other features were you and your team planned to add more of into CWP? Just wondering.

And also, Call of Chernobyl 1.5 r7 works GREAT!

No micro stuttering and with good frame rate. Also, Arsenal overhaul and artifacts expansion mods works PRETTY FINE!

I never thought of it but you guys did something MORE then great, you guys are incredible! Thank you : )
