A simple addon that replaces the 3 default nightvisions with much better ones. Screenshots? Click READ MORE! ->
This is my first upload at ModDB, tell me what you think! :]
(buried)
I think those nightvisions are useless, cus even with them, you cant see anything. Maybe better add Misery nighvisions? Those white.
Sorry for causing disappointment for you, but everything seems more than fine to me when comparing them to default NVs..?
Maybe you have to adjust your ingame/gpu/monitor settings to see the actual difference. If you really want to use NVs like in Misery (very bright black&white;), I could try to do similar and add them into this addon as "extras".
Anyway, thanks for sharing your opinion!
yeah!!! thermal vision for the sake of variety
eyoo. although i do not agree with M0S1N and find no big problem with the night vision, even the default nv. although i do however very much largely prefer the black and white nv just out of preference
so that brings me to my request, its your choice to make it or not of course :)
but would love it ever so very much if you could make a b&w-nv for Call of misery with the outfits addon+STCoM weapon mod
i have no experience of such modding whatsoever :,q all i know is the ltx files for trade and weapons, wouldn't even know where to start for nv D:
i would be ever so greatfull and i am sure there would be more that would like it :) wish you the best of luck though out there, vodka blyat with a cider of wet crow
Edit: just noticed sorry D: Necro Necro Necrooo :q but i would fully understand if you (the dev of this mod) would just say no and blow me off especially since it's been so damn long Dx :p
I was like, "oh, cool! he's going to try to make an extra addon for the crisp black and white NV. okay!" then i saw the date he typed that in... :'(
I'm still DL'ing this and hoping it will work for clear sky AO+Complete mod
God... how i make a fool of myself... I DL'ed and saw in the folder that yes, there IS in fact a black and white version in there now.
Very interesting.
This addon makes my flashlight useless with NV, as it should be. You've done a great job. Thanks 2 u
As it should be? I don't think you understand how NV works.
To be fair, even though night vision needs light it pretty much defeats the purpose since your flashlight illuminates your surrounding and more importantly, illuminates you
Thank you so much, works great!!!
Its a great mod, has made it much easier to travel at night!
That's awesome. Although Nightvision 1 looks next to useless. "Oh so that's where the sky is. Thank god for this Nightvision".
1st "nightvision" is supposed to be the contrast lens, which is only used by the dusk scope AFAIK. ^^
You can edit which scopes uses that effect by editing "...gamedata/configs/weapons/weapons_addons.ltx" with text editor. Just add (or change if already exists) this line to the chosen scope:
"scope_nightvision = scope_contrast"
Hope this helps :)
Keep the good work .
*UPDATE*
- Edited nighvision_1 to be more clear
- Added extras folder as promised!
- Added high contrast Black&White; NV (nightvision_bw)
Tell me if there's anything to add/edit and I'll do my best!
For the BW nightvision you just drag that "nightvision_bw.ppe" into the gamedata folder right?
Sorry for missing instructions :D
Put the .ppe file inside "...gamedata/anims/" folder.
You need a script or a config file to call it separately, or you can just rename it as nightvision_* (number 1-3) to replace one of the other nightvisions.
For example: If you want to replace the "good" nightvision, then delete nightvision_3 and replace it with nightvision_bw and rename that to be nightvision_3 instead.
Ah! Okay, not too hard. I've applied the changes, but haven't gotten the equipment in-game yet to use them. I'll leave a rating once I get there. :D But it already looks promising!
Ok, good luck at that. :D
And thanks, really appreciated!
Awesome! Can you make a purple (such as in Shadow of Chernobyl) or light blue as good as you made this to replace nightvision_3?
I've done that several times, it still does not take effect in game.
hey, i know it's been 6 years since you commented but i want you to know that i've figured out how to make it work. you have to drag and drop "nightvision_1,2 and 3" to your game folder and that's it. no need to rename it, that's how it worked perfectly fine for my game.
Hisssssssssssssssssssssssss LEAF A LIKE
hey, make like a tree and bark... no wait...
thank god for these nightvisions i can see and burn reptilians more easily
LOLs of the day, thankyou! :D
Will try to see the changes thanks !
The B.W nightvision in the extra folder is awesome, thank you so much for this.
And I can shoot cool BW pictures with it too, it's perfect.
Nice ! But I'm still missing a "WhenIamDrunkBetterVision"...
Is this compatible with 1.3.12?
As old as it is, any change of having the latest one be the Blue one? That is the best nightvision of them all!
You can always take any other NV and rename it!
Shiver me timbers ! ))
Hell yeah ! ))
I finally CAN see in the pitch darkness ! ! ! - Without f***ing flashlight, just with NV ! ! ! )))
I like it )
This is definitely a GREAT JOB ! ! !
I impressed: just simple replacing effects, but SO USEFUL !
I give 1000% of respect from 100 !
P.S.
And now, excuse me . . . but it`s time to kick some a**es )
AC_DC and machine gun - a great combination . . . It`s time to fire up! ))
P.S.S.
English isn't my native language, so please excuse any mistakes.
Is it compatible with the Outfit addon m8 ? cheers
Is this compatible with the Outfit addon m8 ? (disregard my identical comment as a `Guest`, forgot to log in lol ...cheers
Is there any way to add that "white" nightvision from SHoC?
It was best in class IMO
Cheers! =)
You have to replace one of the 3 night visions with "nightvision_bw", for example erase one of the existent nightvisions files in "gamedata/anims" directory, then put "nightvision_bw" and rename it as erased file, and it will be done.
I figured it out by now, but thanks anyway :)
i get a virus alert from ff trying to dl this :/
so am i

i was wondering, if it would be possible you could make something to allow Scopes on snipers to be able to be Toggled cause i really hate having to use an NV scope during the day, cause its one of two choices, Use a sniper for night time sniping, or a dim light / day exclusive sniper.
(this is coming from someone that vastly snipe groups of monolith from nearly cross map)
don't upgrade your duskscope and use helm/suit NV
works every time
Hate to be that guy, but in 1.4.22 these are clearly not working, as the shade of green in your screenshots, are not at all reflected that way in game with them installed, care to explain why this is?

why i can't get it to work i rename the nightvisi green NV to nightvision_g3 but i get no effect in game i even did the same with nightvision_bw and still nothing :(
does COC have thermal vision?
I prefer the default night vision honestly. It's actually pretty spot on.
i dont think its working because the NV is named in the game as nightvision_g1-3.ppe not like yours. also how can i only enable the brighter one? i play mostly on day and when the sun shines i cant see even with gamma brightness and very bright nights options
