Description
Cosmetic only - requires Arsenal Overhaul (i will add a vanilla one if this becomes popular) although it is easily modified in the character_desc_general.xml file if you do not have it. Gives most low-ranking soldiers Berill suits with the XM40 gas mask (icon is changed as well), this does include some lieutenants (who appear with berets), although stalkers with berets and without the masks are less common now.. The soldiers being badly ill-equipped to the point where they didn't have any gas mask at all or even helmets (I believe they are on par with the Ukrainian military in terms of equipment in real life) was a gripe with the USS faction, I can understand not being prepared training-wise for combat in the Zone, but I think they would be well-prepared equipment-wise, even down to the private. Gives them a more uniform and badass faceless sort of stormtrooper look as well.

I do not think it does as Outfit Addon does not adjust NPC models although I may be mistaken
Idk I've seen soldiers with these suits walking around.
They are present in game but this mod replaces the lower ranking stalkers with the fatigues and bandanas on their heads with the Berill suit and mask.

There's no way for me to add more screenshots to clarify what it does because this is an addon but the military troops with the fatigues and bandanas that look wholly ill-equipped for the zone are totally replaced with the Berill suits and masks, and some of the lieutenants and sergeants use the model and icon as well
can you make a version of the skat-9 that doesn't use the gas mask and instead use the original mask?
To totally replace the Berill suits as well or just the Skat-9 suits ?
Could you add the vanilla one please?
unfortunately i cannot unless you are able to put the vanilla character_desc_general.xml into a dropbox and let me edit it (my internet is so bad the download for vanilla CoC will interrupt and fail every 5 or 6 hours), sorry for the late reply but I left instructions at the bottom on how to edit it in the meantime!
can you do this for freedom?
I do not think Freedom has a gas mask model for their Berill suit, only ones with goggles but I will see if I can either retexture the Berill suit of Duty for Freedom or do what I did here with the soldiers if I there is a masked model, again sorry for the late reply almost 7 months later!
