Known issue in this patch:
After Bullet Time has ended sounds on the current map that are not looped will stop playing forever until you reload the current map area again. (I do not know how to fix this at this current time.)
This is due to me using the command "stopsound" and is the only way i can stop the heartbeat sound when bullet time is ended.

This mod contains updated and newer versions of both my Bullet Time and Minor Tweaks for Brutal Half Life mods. As well as a newer version of my Day of Defeat styled Sprinting mod remade for Brutal Half-life Beta 2.
Aiming down sights have been slightly improved,in which the fov of the weapons will zoom in a lot closer while you hold down mouse 2, similar to modern FPS games.
Enemies such as the Alien Grunts and Houndeyes are now no longer annoying bullet sponges.
The Fov change from my old brutal half life tweaks for beta 1 is now fixed and working.
I've also Added a new menu music track, its a synthwave remix of a song from the mod Black Mesa. If you dont like the track just replace it with the original.
everything else is pretty much the same that was in my Minor Tweaks for Brutal Half Life addon. except ive updated the health and armor pick ups to give 15-20 % more then what they originally were in my old script
Don't forget to make back ups before running my installer!

I had used a wrong cvar for playing wav files; I used "MP3 Play" instead of "Play"

To apply this fix just go to your brutal half life directory and locate QoLMod folder that's inside BHL and replace the old MAINSCRIPT.rc with the new one I have provided.

what would the scr_ofsx be for an fov of 110? Edit: Nvm I figured it out.

Also, The heartbeat sound wont play. it says it's playing the right file, but no sound is heard, even if I crank the mp3 volume all the way up (yes I installed the hotfix)
Hmm, that's odd, I'm using the same hotfix that I uploaded and everything works fine for me.
I haven't even changed anything with the scripts since I uploaded them.
So I'm really not sure what the problem is, could be your side of things. Maybe there is another MP3 that is trying to play over my heartbeat MP3?
I dont know. it just wont play any audio... BT initiates fine. ill try to play it via console. Ill get back to you.
still doesn't work (btw default_fov does still work after beta 2, but i think only in xash, which is more stable anyway so eh)
the fov breaks most of the reloads... like the mp5... you can see the mag being recycled
That's part of brutal half life's coding. when you reload the game creates a magazine model from the gun to drop on the ground, I cannot fix that. If it becomes an real issue I will make a another hotfix and post it here. otherwise you can fix it yourself by editing "scr_ofsz" under the "Day Of Defeat SPRINTING" category that's inside the MAINSCRIPT.rc by opening it with notepad or another text editor.
How to install this mod? I've installed it but the sprinting and bullet time isn't working
Is the QoLMod folder inside your bhl_beta2 folder? is it saying the script is running when you look at the in-game developer console?
if it is and the script is not executing normally, try doing it manually using the dev console and typing: exec QoLMod/MAINSCRIPT.rc
Yes, the QoLMod folder is inside my bhl_beta2 folder, it even says that it's loaded but the sprinting and bullet time buttons doesn't work, as if I messed something up. I'll try to run the script manually. (and yeah it's me, that guest) Edit: It worked, I can now sprint and activate bullet time, but there is no sound effect playing while it's active. I've replaced the MAINSCRIPT.rc with the one you provided from Tinyurl. Edit 2: The sprinting button sound effect works, but the BT doesn't.. perhaps it's supposed to not have a sound effect? And Bullet Time is supposed to have unlimited duration, right? That's the last of my silly questions, but I'm enjoying the mod so far!

As for the bullet time heartbeat sound only working on steam HL and not working on Xash3d, It seems I cannot play/loop a mp3 file using console commands in a cfg or rc file or the in game dev console commands with xash3d. It only lets me play wav files. I'm currently looking into a xash3d workaround for this mod.
EDIT: Currently I have now got it working in Xash3D and Ive also slightly improved on the bullet time script after inspiration from Half-Payne:

Can you make the HUD color adjustable ? I think the default red is hard to see.

Download my xash3D workaround patch from my top comment, extract the files from my Zip file into your bhl_beta2 directory make sure to keep the folder structure. Replace if asked.
Run brutal half life beta 2, open the dev console and see if my script is running. done.

Is it possible to get rid of the FOV change while ADSing? It completely ruins the ADS systems, the screen is centered above the iron sights.
why when i enable Bullet time it When I turn it off, it gets confused when moving the character
I have answered this in the past but I'll Answer it again, it happens because it is changing .cfg files to remap the direction keys when the button is held or released, the best way to avoid this is to not press any direction key for one second after pressing and holding or releasing the button mapped for bullet time.
In Xash3D Bullet time and DoD Sprint won't work at all and this is using the latest version of this mod, and yes I moved all the files in right folders and even in console QoL mod shows up loaded its just those two BT and Sprint refuse to work at all for me. Any possible workaround such issue?
(Off topic) Also walking in BHL doesn't seem to work at all, no matter what keybind I use my character is unable to walk and stuck in sprint only, so a workaround this issue is highly appreciated.

Anyways, have you used the xash3d patch I posted? In that patch iirc everything worked fine in xash3d when I tested it.
