Hi everyone. I'm currently working on personal little project, which will contain slightly gorier sprites. Some of the sprites are quite ready for use, but my first test wasn't successful - zombies were buried in the ground and I could only see their heads a bit. What kind of graphics editor do I need to use to avoid that?

Sounds like you haven't set the correct offsets for the sprites your using, you can change the offsets in SLADE, also check out this page which goes over your problem in more detail, Forum.zdoom.org.

Yes. I use TheGIMP to make the sprites, but then I have to modify them setting correct offsets using SLADE, otherwise the engine often fails to display them at all. It is very annoying that even the latest GIMP doesn't know what an offset is.

P.S. SLADE works on PK3s and WADs, not on separate files. So pack your sprites into a PK3 to process them.

P.P.S. PK3 is actually a ZIP with a different extension.
