BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.
Strategic bomber for scale.
So it a minuscule version of Ahwassa experimental bomber.. that explain something XD
Still, looking at what you explain in Cybran Penetrator Bomber still confuse me.. what the difference between Strategic Bomber and Penetrator Bomber in game?
Long range strategic bomber. Operates behind enemy lines, thus it is "penetrating" enemy lines.
It is significantly faster than standard T3 bombers, equal to ASF's.
It is a T3,5 version of a bomber. That what is Percival to Titan.
And Sinnaino is that what it is to Sinntha.
If Sinntha has/deals 3900 hp/3250 damage, then I suppose, just like Sanguine Tyrant, it has has more weapons, or its just the (maybe more than) twice as powerfull version of Sinntha and dumbed down version of Ahwassa(obviously) xD
Simply said, Penetrator is a fuckass powerfull bomber :-)
Quite an ACU killers indeed. Lancer's great too.
Now, we only wait for Aeon one.
And Penetration Fighters, heheh.
Damn, I should do some work on tranlation document..
Great idea, awesome design.
The Micro possibilities from the addition of Penetrators and maybe even actual Hard Interceptors(All speed, single burst damage) will be VERY interesting !
I'm not sure if this was technically your goal but after having played around a bit with the penetration bombers and the t-2 bombers through Github, I have to say they do redefine the air war completely. If this update is Brewlan "The war in the Air" your certainly checking off boxes.
The bombers have also redefining how I evaluate missions. They're capable of missions that I would have written off as impossible for the current Gen T-3 aircraft. Here's an example- I hit and destroyed a paragon inside an enemy base with 6 penetration bombers that was protected by at least 3 layers of T-2 and T-3 AA guns and heavy air patrols. 25 Flak Guns, and at least 10 SAM sites, with a mixture of T-1, T-2, and T-3 fighters patrolling (at least 50 aircraft total)
Not only did I destroy the paragon but I was even able to save 4 of the bombers with some intervention of 10 of my own T-3 fighters to provide air cover on the retreat. The performed exactly to specifications- though I'll admit that there was a measure of luck that I was able to save any, they still did what I set them out to do.
A storm is coming and it's made of BOMBERS!!!
Really cool, It looks like a Baby Ahwassa, Hahaha
