BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.

I love it. I still think there should be T3 storage. But the T3 provide some additional effect beyond just storage.

I can come up with a few ideas for T3 storages already. Heck, if given the chance to mod this game one day, I just might try to beat you guys to the punch. :D

General T3 Storage properties:
* As big as a T2 Generator/T3 Mass Fabricator
* Volatile
* Mass Storages - Stores 10,000 Mass per Storage
* Energy Storages - Stores 100,000 Energy per Storage

The T3 Storages would have unique properties based on the overall strengths of the four factions.

Aeon T3 Storage - Has a Personal Shield, but this requires 250 Energy to run each storage's shield.

UEF T3 Storage - Has the most HP of the T3 Storages, but costs more resources to build.

Cybran T3 Storage - Has the least HP of the T3 Storages, but has Tactical Missile defenses and costs the least amount of resources to build.

Seraphim T3 Storage - Has good HP and a Personal Shield, but neither of which are as strong as that of the Aeon's and UEF's. On the bright side, it costs only 100 Energy to run its shield and costs less resources to build than the UEF T3 storage.

I think to truly make the storage work, you would need all turrets to use energy when firing. Higher prices for energy weapons. You could even have missions designed around draining an enemies eco.

It should be taken into account that when dealing with these types of magazines (except T1), Ai starts to install them and becomes less aggressive in the attack.
Sometimes until a long pause in all hostilities.
It is about what can often be found in games with Ai, that instead of developing the economy from the beginning of the game, Ai starts building a Special unit with T4 or Tx if you prefer and its development is very backward, sometimes even easy to defeat.
This is especially visible in the Total Mayem mod, where all engineering units can build special units.
Therefore, be careful with easy-building units with a long build time.
Maybe instead let them be expensive to manufacture, while the build time T2 = 2x T1, T3 = 2x T2 etc.
The same problem occurs with special unit factories.
You can link construction, e.g. without T3 warehouses you cannot build specialty factories, assuming that Ai is able to handle it.

Description

New model for the Aeon T2 energy storage!

For nearly 10 years it's used an up-scaled tech 1 storage model. That's finally changed.

Tech 1 storage for scale.
