BrewLAN is a mod for Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance that has been in on and off development by a team of one for almost a decade. It adds a wide variety of new units for all factions, as well as offering several new game modes and features. The core design goals for the mod are simple; to add new, interesting, and visually aesthetic units which complement those already in existence and to maximise technical compatibility with other mods.
At long last, the non-tech 1 Aeon mines finally have custom models instead of using the power generator models scaled down.
Will the Ai be unable to see the all the time? Ive noticed that the AI always operates as if it has global ommi. Mines become useless.
Cheating vanilla and Sorian AI's have +10k vision and omni on their ACU because the people who coded them couldn't be arsed to set them up to scout properly. (That's 10k grid squares, so 200km radius)
I could remove that, but it'd gimp them pretty hard, and getting in to rebuilding the AI is a dangerious sort of feature creep that I was never setting out to deal with, plus there are a bunch of other AIs out there that cheat much less already.
Also if you snipe their ACU they lose that, but at that point you can probably win already anyway.
Seems like some seriously ****** design.
