This is a GoldSource project aimed to recreate Black Mesa: Source feel within Half-LIfe 1 and its assets. Our main goals for this project is to give a new feel, look to the original Half-Life, with adding more features, improved level design that many people love from Black Mesa remake but with additional things, to make it a bit more unique. Black Mesa: Classic aims to be capabile on any PC without high requiremnts, with better visuals and effects to make your Half-Life 1 campaign experience the best!

This demo is a showcase of "Office Complex"chapter it will show you, our vision and art-direciton for the mod, most likely until the end of Black Mesa: Classic development. Most of small bugs and issues will be fixed with patches in future. Enjoy the demo!

You might face some problems with downloading Black Mesa: Classic - "Office Complex" demo form ModDB. That's mostly due servers being down or checking on files. There's nothing we can do about it, besides wait.

I cannot guarantee that it is a virus, but for safety reasons I do not recommend downloading this mod...
I'm developer of GameUI module. All these "trojan" codenames like "Wacatac.B!ml" are generic and it could be false-positive. GameUI.dll is adaptation of Game UI from Alien Swarm (Source) with own mod-specific features/changes. It's 100% safe. Antiviruses see this module as a virus because of protection from rippers (who want to use this menu in other mods). DLL is packed but doesn't contain malicious code so it's like "Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml". I don't know how to minimize this false-positive nonsense without removing protection stuff from module but I guarantee that GameUI is actually safe.
oh wow, I honestly didn't know what problem that could be, I honestly thought it could be something dangerous, since my knowledge of the goldsource engine is TOO basic, I hope you can solve it as soon as possible so that the reputation of the mod is not compromised .
Many of new models and some map textures are quite ugly. It's more like Black Mesa Alpha 0.52 mod, than Black Mesa: Classic...

I'm trying to download this one but anti-virus detects is malware!
As ScriptedSnark said, this is due of protection from rippers. Your PC and Anti-Virus just can't open .dll freely to see what is inside, and that causing the problem. If there were any virus we won't be able to publish demo as it is.

I dunno why they needed to use software used by rippers to make a fantastic mod, but im sure it's for a good reason...

Our programmer ScriptedSnark wanted to add protection on GameUI.dll, so that other people can't stole his work without permission, and well, cause .dll file is "closed" it can't be freely opened, that causing anti-virus thinking that its some kind of virus, but at the end its not. But we're sorry for troubles that such protection caused.
Why did you guys not make this 25th anniversary compatible?
Yeah uh by the way if you're gonna play this:
1.go to your Half-Life directory
2.copy everything there
3.make a file on your desktop or wherever you want, named anything you want (i reccommend 'backup')
4.download the mod. don't worry about it saying it's trojan. it's just that for some reason the software used for the mod is a software most commonly used by rippers.
5.put 'bmc' into your Half-Life directory
6.go to steam, click properties on hl1, go to betas, and change it to pre-25th anniverssary
7.go to 'valve'
8.find gamemenu.res
9.find 'Change Game' in it
10.change 'steamno' to 0
11.boot up hl1, click on change game, and select the black mesa classic office complex mod
12.have fun
As it was said in description, mod does work on HL25th anniversary update.
You just need to put bmc folder inside Half-Life folder, restart Steam and search for it in Library. You can use "Change Game" in HL1, sure. But it should work fine even without it.
Anyways, thanks for informing other people on how to run this demo, if they got some trouble.
