What the hell is Blue Mesa?
Replaces all the voicelines in the game by me and my friends.
Why? Well, uh... Why not?
Later, we'll have some reskinned guys, make them blue, the works.
Weapon sounds will also be replaced.
Chapter names have been replaced, because why the hell not.
Make some menu art as well, make it... You guessed it, blue.
What sets this apart from other """"Blue Mesa"""" mods?
I dunno, I guess this is the first one?
I haven't see one anywhere that wasn't made before 2021 so there's that.
We also poured our hearts making this.
(By that I mean I had to deal with my friends fucking up the lines somehow.)
Also this isn't supposed to be a "RED MESA 2" type of deal.
So don't come in expecting that sort of deal.
Still looking for things to show off in terms of gfx and stuff but look at the trailer to see we're gonna do.

Wow! What a novel and original idea! Who would've thought to create a mess-up mod for Half Life? This is truly the innovation that the HL1 modding scene needs right now!

A "funny" redub of all the characters isn't considered a mess-up mod?
Here comes BionicCoyote million miles an hour coming in on a post that isn't even done yet to say that it's a funny mess-up mod.
Jokes aside, by my definition a "mess-up" mod is literally just earrape and random memes. This one doesn't fall into that category. (Once for the earrape but whatever)
This is more of a thing for me and my friends to laugh at, I put it up here for people that wanna see it.
It's also for me to learn a few things about the Half-Life engine and such, taught me the basics about editing so far.
I plan for it more to be a "redub" maybe change the character model colors to blue? (Not sure if that'd look good".
Most importantly, do you have any resources or something that can help me with this? If not, that's alright.
Pardon me if I assumed incorrectly. As anyone on this page could tell you, it's constantly inundated with crappy, low effort messup mods. This is literally the 3rd mod with the title "Blue Mesa" to show up in the past week. I also have a broader sense of a messup mod, having played many. My definition of a messup mod is synonymous with shitpost mods.
I can't think of any sites in particular but Google is a great resource. If not that then there's plenty of modders on my discord that can help.
I've actually started doing this thing last year, but I lost all of my files, and uh yeah I'll make an actual description later, I'm just trying to learn some stuff before that.

Again, started working on this a year ago, but dear god those look bad.
Might also help to put an actual description for your mod rather than a bunch of random letters. Doesn't exactly give a great first impression
