May 16, 2000, New Mexico Desert. At 9:47 AM, Mountain Time, a disaster of unknown type has occurred at the Black Mesa Research Facility causing significant damage and failure to various power and communication systems in the surrounding areas. An immediate evacuation order has been issued for all residents within a 75 mile radius of the facility, and on-site military has been dispatched to provide assistance.
Here we are! Nearly finished, still have some parts to polish. But still, here is the revamped HECU V-22 Osprey. Comes with detailed interior.
The picture WILL be updated in the future.
looks good)
I wonder if you could use the models to give a snapshot preview of the Opposing Forces intro
Do you mean an Intro Movie?
Yes!
Okay, I'll see what I can do.
(buried)
Non canonical osprey... I am sad :(
How so???
What do you mean? The Osprey in real life does not have the huge open section in the body. This looks better.
Îndeed, as HonzaBalak mentions it, the Osprey I did is heavily based on HL due to the big openings that are not on the real one. The only "things" I took from the real Osprey are the Decals.
oh noes, a vehicle looks slightly different than it did 20 years ago, this completely breaks the storyline!
Time to craft the main menu Animation..
Ospreys and soldiers running/flying in the background. :P
As usual lovely work. As for the authenticity of the Osprey. I wouldn't necessarily see any problem if the Osprey looked exactly like the one seen in Hl+Op4. Some Military and Police assets throughout the world get specialized modified equipment & vehicles based upon their requests or what serves them best in the field. These modified constructions are extra makings particular to those units and not produced in series.
Anyway don't lose perspective. Seems you people waste far to much time on redesigns of redesigns = redesigns.
Don't forget actual unit implementation into the game. Balancing, play testing. Mapping of the SP story and Skirmish/mp maps. :)
The problem with Half-Life's Osprey modification is that the gondolas on the body have to be partially cut off. But in real life they are too important, becouse fuel tanks and landing gear are located in them.
I know, I spend a lot of time working on the assets. I just want to get the most beautiful models for this project x) I've started to put my hands on Unreal Engine, and doesn't seems really that complicated. I'll just need time, as usual, and post those goddamn news about the project and the path it's taking, but so much to write.. x)

Nice!
