Change heretic gameplay to be about whacking a monsters, instead shooting them. Set of weapons as well monster behavior is altered to support that. Theme is more "prosaic" and less magic. Bitter is .pk3 mod for GZDoom, it doesnt work with Zandronum. I remember in 94 that I was playing vanilla with gauntlets or staff, imagining that im a warrior with a sword. This is how Heretic should have been.
i spend few weekends playing random maps from Obsidian. And i tweak few things... hope for the better :-P there are no new assets. Just modified values.
why are weapons and other things not transferred when switching from one card to another??? is there any way to fix it???
card? you mean map?
all doom-esque maps are design for pistol start. Otherwise you are too powerful, and there is less fun with finding weapons.
There is an option in options to disable it (wand start).

- gold wand no longer can be light up (you have 1 torch at the start of each level, try to use it as flare and do the fight).
