Base Defense is a single/cooperative modification based on horde-style and RPG systems. It's awesome, you should try it ;)
You can see two projectiles on the same spot (model and sprite). As you can guess I'm improving the effects, but it's not the true goal of this work. The true purpose of this is I'm trying to move the most of projectiles to the client, so the game will look much smoother in multiplayer, just like it is in singleplayer. It also will allow me to use more advanced effects.
The main reason of this work is to decrease load on network. For example shock-rifle effect consists of 4 entities, which is insane. When "visible packet" runs out of limit player sees different bugs like effect sprites are wrong placed or attached to another entity.
Looks like these zombies took phrase "throw him a bone" quite literally.
He was able to throw even a leg bone. He took it out of his chest... Yeah.
