Official stance on our Rebel Lucrehulk debate is that we rather not. Please spare us.
Chancellor Bullet, Meme Lords are our speciality.
Your memes, please. We wouldn't want to make a mess of things in front of the developers.
You won’t get away this time, Thrax. *meme was commences*
I've been looking forward to this.
My powers have doubled since the last time we met, Thrax.
Good! Twice the pride, double the karma.
Your feeble skills are no match for the power of the tector star destroyer
I'm just gonna clarify my personal stance since I'm in the title. :P
I have no problem adding legacy Separatist ships for the Rebels so long as it doesn't go overboard. Do't let them be buildable, make them rare and special. *cough* Black Sun *cough* Although they are there moreso due to necessity with the current lack of unique ships.
Why not only give the rebels only one Lucrehulk battleship and not have them be buildable . Like the Rebel one?
The other guys are adamant in their stance of not adding any more Separatist ships for the Alliance, unique and otherwise. If I had it my way, I would.
Nothing personal, kid.
Hey, it's okay. If it helps balance the mod then I'm all for it.
Honestly the ideal compromise would be either add them as random mission reward or add a boarding ship like in Thrawn's Revenge and steal them from Black Sun, it would be a tricky thing to pull off with the fighter AI being a lot smarter then before and give yet another use for GR-75s
Why don't you make them a reward? Like...make "former" CIS worlds like Hypori and Geonosis Neutral, the first who gets those Planets gets a one time CIS Ship.
The two Planets also allow the Faction who currently controls it to build Munificient Destroyer?
Kinda considering seeing if I could get a ship added to the rebels 'hero' roster. A Lucrehulk named the Valkyrie that I've used in a few tabletop rpg's, though I don't have anyway to record lines for it like Shack did. I didn't want her specifically available right away, and you'd get a mission to find her captain and then another mission to go and locate and capture the ship after it's been taken by the Black Sun.
In what comic did it appear?
Doctor Aphra 17: Remastered, Part IV according to Wookiepedia.
Thanks
The Rebels have enough CIS units as it is, they can even build battle droids in limited numbers iirc. Any more CIS units and you might as well rename them the CIS Alliance.
in 2.7 the rebels or any other faction other than the Black Sun will be unable to build droid units
Rip El pumpo,
i think no faction should get CIS units. perhaps make Geonosis and Hypori Neutral and conquering them gives you (Geonosis)1 Lucrehulk and (Hypori) 2 Providence.
Ohh, Europa universalis
Good thing they have 150 adm. and three Stability.
There was actually an assault on Death Star 1 before A New Hope movie, where a Luchrehulk transported x-wings (500 I believe) to assault the battle station before being fully aware of its power. The DS obliterated the Luchrehulk and all its fighters. That was in one of the novels
Ah yes, the Fortressa Starwars.wikia.com.
>That was in one of the novels
Death Star novel to be precise.
I was trying to subtlely reference that by specifying "New Canon" and using "renew". :P
That book was hard for me to read simply because it contradicted so many other sources. Like where in the world did the Alliance get 500 xwings from?? And on top of that the fact that 500 xwings got owned by only 1000ish TIE/ln?? What happened to the 3-1 ratio in which xwings almost always came out on top? But I really have no issues with the Lucrehulk, other than that I doubt the ARR would be able to hide it from the Empire.
How can you have an issue believing that a galaxy spanning movement cannot access hundreds of fighters. Literally thousands of capital ships were left to drift, sold off after the clone wars and you think a few hundred fighters is unrealistic?
I absolutely agree with you Nolanstar. There should be hundreds of thousands of clone wars era fighters floating around (in scrapyards, markets, or literally). And thousands of capital ships as well. However, xwings? Most certainly not: a high tech, bleeding edge advanced Starfighter recently developed of which only several (at most dozens) prototypes we're ever built "officially". After obtaining them, the Alliance certainly started building more, but this would have to be on a case by case basis (similar to Awings) as they had no access to a significant fighter-manufacturer. Additionally, it was far more expensive to build a couple xwings than it was to buy and cobble together squadrons (or even wings depending how low quality you want to dredge) of other fighters. It is on this line of thought that I rested my disappointment with this book. 500 xwings? No way in the world. It's absurd. It would be enough firepower to take out 5+ executor class super star destroyers (in one engagement). If the alliance to restore the republic ever had that many xwings, the Empire would have already been over thrown. So if not xwings... Maybe 500 torrents, etas, arcs, or Alphas? Fine. And their survival rate against standard TIEs would also make far more sense (my other point).
I might have a possible solution
have it be more of a factory unit than a Super-Battleship/Carrier, so that whatever planet it is in orbit over gets a big boost in production or drop in cost. you can cut down on its armaments tremendously, and give it a good number of fighters to act as defense, but the end result is something of a handicap in a fight
I was going to say maybe the rebellion just gets one by capturing a certain planet or mission. And since it seems to be more of a command center, get rid of a few of the weapon emplacements, while giving it a a better sensor array or something. Idk I have always bee a fan of one off ships like the Bloodstar and such.
I personally love the idea of a mobile shipyard
A comet has appeard!
Fools ! the economy
without it; everything wold be ... memeingless
OMG i asked if they would consider it a bit ago never thought it would ever come to anything
we spare no expenses''
gib lucre-mulk ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ
I agree with your stance on Rebel Lucrehulks. Maybe it was fine in the base game before Clone Wars mods, but now it waters down the CIS.
it wouldn't be build able it would be one that spawns and when its gone its gone
Idk, maybe one would be cool, having the Fortressa floating around as a minor hero would be fun!
I find your lack of faith in the Rebels' ability to harness such a weapon disturbing...
Just a side note a Lucrehulk should be able to contend with an ISD it has the fighters and firepower to do so
