Links to the steam workshop download and our discord can be found in the description! Awakening of the Rebellion is a total overhaul of Forces of Corruption. Inspired by the old RTS Star Wars: Rebellion, AotR brings many features from this game and other titles such as a more in-depth mission system, tech system, and many new units! Immerse yourself in the Galactic Civil War era as the fledgling Rebellion, the oppressive Empire, or the criminal Black Sun pirates. This mod is not for the feint of heart and will test your RTS skills with a completely overhauled AI and difficulty. Versions newer than 2.6 can be found on the steam workshop only (due to issues with the non-steam versions)

One thing that I never understood... why not put a little more armor on the conecting spar?

I mean I know there is the B2 Variant... but surley throwing a few armour plates on the spar wouldn't be to expensive would it?

Doesn't really matter. The spine will always be a weakpoint. Regardless of how well armoured it is. You can armour it more than the rest of the ship, but it will still be a structural weak-point because it separates the aft from the stern. Completely disabling the ship. Whereas only destroying the front may still leave the aft operable.

So putting on more armour there would be futile & wasteful of resources. The Nebulon B must use it's superior manoeuvrability to escape destruction.

Yeah, that spar is just like the warp nacelle pylons on the Star Trek Constitution-class cruiser: an exploitable weakpoint that will cripple the ship upon destruction or heavy damage.

What might've worked was to make a more comprehensive center section in place of the spar, which wouldn't be as weak as that little neck, but that's just my thought on that weakpoint.
