Links to the steam workshop download and our discord can be found in the description! Awakening of the Rebellion is a total overhaul of Forces of Corruption. Inspired by the old RTS Star Wars: Rebellion, AotR brings many features from this game and other titles such as a more in-depth mission system, tech system, and many new units! Immerse yourself in the Galactic Civil War era as the fledgling Rebellion, the oppressive Empire, or the criminal Black Sun pirates. This mod is not for the feint of heart and will test your RTS skills with a completely overhauled AI and difficulty. Versions newer than 2.6 can be found on the steam workshop only (due to issues with the non-steam versions)

First appeared in 1994's Tie Fighter If I remember correctly.

Nope, First Appearance was Star Wars Roleplaying, first "proper" Story appearance was the Thrawn Trilogy.

AFAIK TIE Fighter may have been its first visual appearance. It's in a couple of the JK games too.

the legendary katana fleet ...

question: as far as i remember; dreadnaughts required a extremly big crew ... so will they be counted in terms of population like that?

Eh, the imperial Support Vessels are the most ugly version of the Dreadnaught I've ever seen... they are abominations.

Just look at it... it doesn't have any of the good looks of the Dreadnaught and looks as if it'd been designed with the idea "Curves = For Rebels, Angles = for the Empire"

At our dear Disney Fanboys... how about, instead of downvoting, you try to prove that this ugly thing looks good and is a worthy Dreadnaught replacement.

Or is it that you CAN'T?

I remember these being the only ship class available to both sides in the old Strategy game Star Wars Rebellion, with them being almost useless for the Empire because they had ISDs and Victory SDs from the start while for the Rebels they would be the best thing during the early game.

@Reichtangle Good point. At least there actually IS a canon version of the dreadnaught, even if the design is meh. Then again, that IS the overall animation style for SW Rebels, so let's hope that the "boxy dreadnaught" is just "boxy" because of the animation style, and not the actual design of the vessel.

For all accounts and purposes, classic dreadnaught IS the best dreadnaught

Good low-cost frontline ship. It can take and dish out hits - it's like it's a mini-ISD in that way. Sure it's not as big as or as heavily armed/armored as the ISD, but it can still dish out some punishment.
