So we want to bring Team Fortress to AvP2. It shouldn't be too difficult, all of the weapons we need are already in AvP2, and configuring armor and run speeds and whatnot isn't too hard. What we need, however, is input on how this should go down, and modders to make the more difficult things happen, like possibly adding new weapons and more importantly, new GAME MODES, like Capture the Flag or Assault, things that teams do that aren't Team Deathmatch. However, this is AvP2 Fortress, so everything should have an AvP2 twist to it. Like Preds and Aliens on the teams realistically, but not whorishly. No Predator rocket-launcher guys, for example, but a Predator as the Spy, a class that's supposed to cloak and primarily use a knife anyway. -- SMID

Beta 3 brings two major fixes related to the CTF and 1F-CTF game modes, and Dark_Raver9 joined the beta testing group.

Well, things look good for the third beta. Two major issues are tackled in this one:

  1. Pounce speed while carrying the flag
    The isue with the pounce is the fact that an alien carrying the flag can still pounce across half the map, and thus score way to easy. So easy it actually turns the pounce ability into a game breaker. Sugestions started to pour during last week's tests, which included removing the pounce ability all together. What this beta tries to test is a limited pounce speed for flag carrying aliens.
  2. Flag icon
    It's really a simple, tiny icon:

      


    But I bet it makes a lot of difference. One of the issues this mod needs fixing is the feedback towards the player. Something to let you know you have the flag, for example. Or that somebody is attacking your objective. This little white icon promises to fix the feedback for the flag carriers.



And yes, we still need beta testers. Dark_Raver9 joined the beta group, and we hope we'll have several other people joining.
