Bofors Ak5 is a modernized Swedish variant of Belgian assault rifle chambered in 5.56x45mm, the FN FNC. It was specially modified to work in harsh, subarctic climate and is a service rifle in Swedish Armed Forces. Among it's strong sides are it's reliability, durability, relatively good ergonomics and effective flash hider mounted by default. Good sights layout provides long sight line, increasing the practical accuracy. Ak5 has a larger trigger guard and cocking handle to allow for operation while wearing winter gloves, an enlarged handguard, a new, collapsible shoulder stock, different iron sights and gas block, a modified bolt, removal of the 3-round burst capability, and a corrosion-resistant green (instead of black) finish.
