A.R.E.A. is a standalone project based on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy. The project affects all aspects of the game with no exceptions, improving their quality and diversity. The main goal was to create a more realistic Exclusion Zone, where each trip will be a unique and rough experience.
:O looks great
btw, what those r1, r2 r3 in console settings stand for? type of renderer or what? do different DX versions use different rX versions ?
I know that in console settings there are many r1, r2 r3 options
also could you somehow smoothen the transition between water and ground at the edges of the lakes/swamps? I mean, on this picture in the bottom transition from water to ground is too crisp
r1 = dx8
r2 = dx9
r3 = dx10
r4 = dx11
Wrong.
Theres no DX8 in STALKER games.
r1 = DX9
If that is the case which render is used by static lighting?
Static lighting uses r1.
The engine was stalker presented to the public back in 2001. Initially, it was focused on DirectX 8, but later repeatedly refined to match its time. Thus, it has support for DirectX 9, and with the release of S. T. A. L. K. E. R.: Clear sky and added DirectX 10.
As a consequence, it is not difficult to understand that r1 this is the very first render that uses DirectX 8 technology.
(buried)
The only person who is wrong is you, shut the hell up retard and do some research once in your life. https://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/S.T.A.L.K.E.R.:_Call_of_Pripyat#API
Oho, retard - learn something, look into source code. I spent ******* years on modifing XRay, THERES NO DX8 IN XRAY RENDERERS. Only in dx api. r1 = DX9. Ask xray masters like Forser, or Xottab about it.
I really like it
I hope that this version have a option for turn off this reflection of water, because i have a potato pc.
it does not affect performance.
