A.R.E.A. is a standalone project based on S.T.A.L.K.E.R. trilogy. The project affects all aspects of the game with no exceptions, improving their quality and diversity. The main goal was to create a more realistic Exclusion Zone, where each trip will be a unique and rough experience.

Sidrovich rarely sells water, or any form of drink, in 1.1603. I feel like that should probably be rectified.

Edit: To add to that, he also doesn't sell any magazines, which can also be a problem.

I've always found the fact that most Stalkers don't carry around any sort of medical supplies somewhat absurd, especially considering a good black market could me made out of them. However, I'm aware that even with the long animations for some of the medical supplies, that being able to hoard them would still be a problem, and so the premium on pricing was needed to limit how much you could carry. However, I think I have an alternative:

Instead of making medkits sparse and expensive, how about have them be prevalent, but be light and take up a lot of volume? At least for the cheaper and more general ones, like regular medkits and improvised stimpacks. This way, low tier medication could be added to the spawn pool of Stalkers, but you can't carry a lot otherwise you'd be giving up backpack space for future loot and guns.

The way this could be justified with medkits is plainly obvious: Have them be in a big case, or say that it's a lot of supplies in one. For improvised/zone made stimpacks, have a few of them be inside a cushioned carrying case, because otherwise the thin or fragile glass would rupture easily. The higher end medicines will be made of sturdier or smaller stuff, so it doesn't need these large volumes. The reason I haven't implemented this into a mod yet is that I'd need to have icons for these additions, but if there's an artist out there willing to provide I can get started right away to make it into a mod.

- About the Medkits:

It would be nice to actually have those abilities as they claim in their details.I mean like:

  • Classic Medkit: To be a general purpose medkit (as it is) with a reduced health restoration.
  • Army Medkit: To have the ability to extract bullets & shrapnels as it mentions but in addition to fix a damaged bone. (Tried it today but the bone wouldn't fix).It's really annoying every time to return back to the medic & pay him to fix you up.
  • Scientific Medkit: To have multi-healing effects giving emphasis to mental state, poisoning, radiation and be the most rapid health restorator & pain reliever aswell.

I know there is one more medkit in the game.I came across it twice but hadn't the chance to buy/test it so i can't tell how i would like it.

I believe the damage you get to your body parts if you hit a wall or jump from a small distance to an obstacle, is a really unnecessary.I get it adds some more realism to the game but after all even without this feature the game will still remain hardcore.I'm sure others find it annoying as i do.It's a game after all.A good idea would be to make an option in settings and let us decide if we want to use this feature or not.

Is there a way to edit mutant spawns? My first time in the Garbage I got attacked by a Chimera. Then, once I managed to get to Rostok, a Pseudogiant was there and killed every Duty member that was near. I think this is really bad for the game, not only because it's inconvinient, but because is sort of spoils mutants. I have a TOZ-34 and a Mosin, this are supposed to be beginner areas for a reason.

I wish a " Respawn Mode " .. where you loose all your equipment upon death but you keep your money and your stashes .. for the people who like taking risks and keeping the one-character-progression at the same time ( Raiding system in Escape from Tarkov ).

Place a mini body part somewhere near the stamina & health bars with a red indication of the bleeding part, so that we won't need to open-close the inventory & check where we got hit just for applying a bandage or two.

Whenever a mutant gets 10 meters close to a human AI, the human will immediately attemp to knife the crap outta them (and end up being torn to shreds). I suggest removing or fixing this feature because it gets really annoying with companions when they just try stab mutants instead of shooting them and effectively killing them.


Oh and by the way, i think it would be cool to add dynamic texts to the companions where they chit chat and stuff. It kinda makes them more alive, if you get my meaning.


Adding more soundtrack from Dead Air, Lost Alpha, Oblivion wouldn't hurt. I really feel like a lot of soundtrack is missing from this mod. PDA radio too.

I really love the feature list of the Mod and the direction - but the Player movement feels very wierd to me! Moving around feels like the character is drunk. But maybe its me so used to the base game movement or other shooters in general. Is there a way to modify it by my self? Are there Parameters in the Configs? Otherwise I would love to see a function to check magazines, or the chamber of a gun also the possibility to look at the gun! :> I love that feature in tarkov f.e.

Saw that you plan adding a feature that you could die due to high pulse.I don't like that at all.I think of my character as a middle aged-young man.Not a 94 year old grandpa with high blood prssure etc.

Anything that you are carrying on your person I.E. Armor, Helmet, Weapons, etc. doesn't take up the L weight system. Simply because it removes the ability to hold multiple weapons at a time and also reduces what you can carry out of backpack maybe reduce them by half?

Feels like all 9x39 weapons do not support 3D Scopes tested it with AK-9 and AC VAL with Grip so far will continue testing.

Edit: Found that the KZYRP suppressor doesn't work for SV-98, don't know if that's intended or doesn't have appropriate files or mesh to show the SV-98 suppressed.

I think he means like faint but I agree

More mags on sale, more water on STALKERS, more loaded mags on stalkers.

Code for them to fire single shot and have ammo conservation mechanics maybe, increased jams if their gun is bad quality?

I just wish for some small quality of life things, i would love for the walking speed to be just a little bit faster and to be able to toggle walking the same way you can toggle crouching or sprinting, and maybe being able to toggle the leanings too, also making the low crouch lower because right now there are places you could squeeze into in "vanilla" but you just don't fit through anymore.

Edit: I forgot, also it would be great to be able to get out of crouching by sprinting, i think it's both realistic and would make fights more agile.
