The Apocalypse mod adds over 170 new units, structures and super weapons to the original RA2YR and will give you a completely new RA2YR experience while keeping the classic feeling alive.
The mod does not require other resources to run except the original RA2YR game v1.001.
This is what the mod adds in general:

Total infantry: 37
Total naval: 16
Total air: 20
Total armor: 34
Total super-weapons: 7 - Translocation (unique), Storm Defense (unique), Anomaly Projector (unique) , Parabombs, Magnetic Crusher (unique), Airstrike Command (unique), Paradox (unique).
Before anything I would like to thank the modding community in general and to all the artists that created extremely nice models of voxels and shps publicly available for use.
Although I created this mod myself, this would not of been possible without using many freely available art assets. All artists that did them deserve a medal !
Mod main features:
- New unique super-weapons have been added
- All units have their own unique sounds (except some upgraded versions of existing units).
- The music from original RA2 is included. HM3 is included.
- Many new weapons have their own visual and audio FX.
- Tech tree is based on the original RA2YR one and extended with higher tier structures, units and defenses.
- The maxed old tech tree is now somewhere in the middle of the new tech tree.
- Base defenses can promote and have range indicators. Base defenses are added to complement the existing ones for each side.
- Countries have more specific units, advantages and tactics. There are plenty of options to fit any play-style.
- There are plenty of secret new units and structures that require stolen tech and can give you the edge in combat.
- All sides have air fields and specific related units.
- Single player missions are fully supported and improved, containing the new mod units. They also have some nice new secrets.
- All sides have improved ways of obtaining resources and/or reducing production costs.
- Multiple units from each side can garrison buildings.
- The multiplayer of the game is balanced, each faction having specific advantages. Learn to exploit and use them.
- There are art improvements of some units, including arctic versions of some infantry, some fixes of legacy items.
- There are a few stealth units in the game and sufficient units with stealth detection.
- There are multiple tiers of naval units for all sides. Yuri now has a full naval force at his disposal.
- New IFV modes

I dunno why, but sometimes it completely freezes up for me when in a map and I have to Tab through the task manager just to get out of it. (Since the mouse strangely is unresponsive when it freezes, hence the "Tab" bit before} It's most likely through a fault of mine though so i'm not blaming your mod one bit. Far from it, i'm already LOVING it so far, really...! <3 I still have a copy/pasted directory dedicated to the previous dated version of this fantastic mod and still love it to this very day... <3

Oh thank goodness... You have NO IDEA just how relieved I am that i'm not the only one with this particular issue, I was afraid I was the only one affected. :<
For me, it apparently is somewhat sporadic and freezes only at certain times while on an active map. I've taken to save/loading to circumvent this issue somewhat so that, when it does freeze, I can reload the save I made before it froze. So far it's proving fruitful to circumvent this issue.
Regarding any freeze issues, they may be caused by directdraw issues. From what I noticed they only happen in a few specific custom single player maps. If a general issue is found, it will be patched.

I see. Well, I dunno if this helps or anything, but a skirmish map also "freezed" when I went on 2v2 (I allied with a bot) match on the "Arena" 4 slot skirmish map, so I don't think it's limited to just SP maps.
If it gets fixed in a future patch then i'll be IMMENSELY grateful since I still love this badass mod to this very day, I really do... <3

Yes, on some SP maps it happens (like the community map tint), on single player I only encountered freezes on a map that I stole Yuri's Con-Yard , built his full tech tree and it was freezing if trying to build the Ship-Yard. Anyway, this will be investigated further.
I'm just IMMENSELY RELIEVED that it isn't just me that this issue is happening to, since I was afraid that it was limited to just me somehow. :<

Thought i'd report another glitch I encountered, this time of the non-freeze variety. Even after eliminating all of Yuri's buildings on the fourth Allies "Tomb Raided" mission, it still doesn't end for some strange reason, I dunno why but i'm fairly sure I got ever yuri building and unit (though the walls are left standing but their destruction isn't that necessary, though occasional off-map yuri forces spawn in from time to time, just weird. I'll just have to use the trainer method to bypass this oddity.
EDIT: Hmm... Very strange. After reloading a save I made after dealing with most of the eastern bases most annoying parts and only leaving tattered remnants left, I managed to finally gain a win after leveling the base and its nearby forces and then got rid of the lone Gatling boat and then it issued the win, which is odd since I believe I did the same thing before and yet it still didn't issue a win.
Also yet another bug I encountered is that Yuri's Small Nuclear Reactor leaves behind a VERY ANNOYING rad field that lasts an unusually long time, I hope that both the above issue and this one get resolved in the next patch as well as the ever-annoying "freeze" issue.
Another thing i've noticed is that the "Extended" variation of the Allied Airfield/radar is missing in the "Clones Down Under" mission, dunno if that's intentional or not, but it makes dealing with those Paratroopers and Parabombs MUCH more annoying due to the loss of the Anti-Air Prism Tower which the Extended Allied Airfield unlocks. DX
The Extended AF not buildable in that mission is intentional, not to make it too simple. There are other ways to deal with those paras, there's a trick to that mission.
I will consider reducing the RadLevel of nuke reactors.
Note that winning conditions differ in missions. For some you need to take out an enough amount of structures (like the one with the Vats), on some the factories and CY, on some all structures and on some all units. That means hunting and killing the Yuri slave miners too.
Ah, I see. Thankfully I got through it, though those magnetic towers were a MAJOR pain in the ***, hence I had to take my time with missions that included them since even mind control-immune units like the Sentry Drone (which is an EXCELLENT Anti-Infantry/Armor unit if I say so myself, great work there, seriously ^^) units can find their armored column ranks in disarray when drawing aggro whilst arty units deal with them from the backrow, really... DX
And like I said, the main core issue in regards to the Yuri Mini Nuclear Reactor's radiation after its destruction is that they last for VERY LONG and seemingly never go away and when they do it takes an absurd long while to do. Which is handy/detrimental depending on the situation since it can greatly hamper enemy ground units that are vulnerable to rads after all. Other than that, yeah, it's quite odd.

I have an error to report it says the game has encountered an internal error after playing a game for a while. Any idea what could cause this?
Hello, in the game folder there's a file called except.txt . Up this file here or tell me what it says at Bytes at CS:EIP line along with what were you doing at that point.
I was playing the allied campaign on hard difficulty and after some time a pop-up would appear and say that the game has encountered an internal error

The error type seems to be related to airburst weapons; there's should not be something like that on that mission. Does it reoccur and what where you doing at the time of the error ?
I was playing the first and second allied missions when it happened. It happened twice. I wasn't doing anything in particular really.
Edit: I was playing your mod again this time the error happened on the allied mission, brain dead. Also, I forgot to tell you that I was using cheats at that time and there was funny stuff happening but I didn't pay attention. This time however I deactivated that cheat that was causing the funny stuff (I still had other cheats active) but it still happened anyway.

Hey, I can't reach (there isn't any transoport) the Psychic Dominator to destroy it in the first Soviet mission. Am I missing something??
Hello, You powered up the Allied base (by killing the AAs probably) and the Grand cannon destroyed the Ship-Yard and transport you suppose to have, before you arrived there.
When you try to command Prism trooper and buy Storm breaker the game crashes..
Both units you mentioned work fine. Prism trooper is one of the 1st units added and there have been no problems with it. The Stormbringer tank uses special code for the weapon but is fully functional. Please make sure you don't have other mods installed and that you have game patch 1.001. Thanks.
The game freezes after a couple of minutes playing skirmish or After buying certain unit. Hope the mod be patched to fix the freeze and crash issues after buying certain infantry or tanks.

The skirmish freeze, from what I noticed, it happens on a very limited number of maps. This issue is being investigated.

For anyone experiencing freezes, that may be related to the directdraw and video buffer.
- Open your RA2MD.ini,
- Go to the [Video] section
- Add "VideoBackBuffer=no"

Yes, there is not reason not to work. If all players have the mod install it should be good.

No. only Yuri's revenge 1.001. For YR to work correctly on the graphics side, it's recommended to use the DirectDraw support as mentioned already.

Hello, when you use chronosphere and chrono units, the original location of the units is registered in the Translocation. So after 1st chronosphere use, you can keep moving unit on the initial chrono source location and translocate them. From here, a whole range of possibilities open: from moving entire armies fast, to moving small groups allover the map. Imagine each unit leaving a war factory arriving anywhere on the map. The possibilities are unlimited.

Hi Borg, first of all, thank you very much for making such a great mod, been playing since 4.0. Unfortunately, I am here to report a problem I met since 4.0, which is a game freeze when building certain buildings, for 4.0, it is the Soviet Shipyard during Skirmishes(in any map, official or fan-made), it does not happen in Campaign though. For 5.0, it is the Soviet War Factory. And for the campaign, I got my first freezing in the Soviet Campaign, when you discover the Soviet Base after the Time Travel in Mission 1. I will update more on my side, trying out fixes and disable certain things and options.
Edit: By Disabling a Cheat code from Cheat Engine (An option that allow all technologies from all side), I am able to proceed with building the Soviet War Factory, not sure what is conflicting with it and it only happens with Soviet War Factory as far as I tested.
Hello, this does not occur on any of my tests. Try the "VideoBackBuffer=no" option I mentioned above. Also note that any cheating except adding more credits (adding, not freezing value) may cause unforeseen effects. Anyway, there is no reason to cheat, everything is made you give you a good range of difficulty selections. Campaign on easy should be a walk in the park (except about 2-3 tricks I added) while on MP you should adapt a little depending on the map played, but the AI is not a flooder, despite the difficulty names I gave. Anyone with RTS XP should have no trouble defeating it once you get used to how it works.
Thanks for the reply! I am actually using cheats(especially the one causing the trouble) just to try out all the units and buildings at the same time. And I do have the VideoBackBuffer option set to false. And since it has been confirmed that the cheat is causing the trouble, it shouldn't be any problem related to the graphics now. How about No Advanced Defenses build limit for 5.0 patch?
There is no build limit for Adv Tesla, Prism, Mag Tower, Brain Scorcher, etc or any of the advanced AAs.
hell yeah man i thought you where stopped as i saw the first one to be taken down. from years ago you did that right or i am now messing 2 person up haha yeah i believe i am haha i mean battlefield 1942 thats not yours right but that went away wich sucks. I updated v4 which had a file with the wrong name causing SP maps not to be read.
As this got new single player missions
Single player is fully supported and the original missions are adapted to support the new units.
