This mod will always be better than DE.
they should have included this mod in the DE like they did for AOE 2 HD and forgotten empires mod, these guys worked their butts off to make an awesome mod and keep AOE 3 alive,I was so sad when I did not see this in DE
Forgotten Empires and WoL were made by different teams. FE team did all the DE's and the original AoE2HD.
I did not know this hahahaah and I was part of the insider program, I should read more, so this is why they never added WoL so angry now!!! (this mod is like way way better than forgotten empires, they only added new factions but this team went beyond that and really put all their passion in this mod ai ai ai the world is a sad place today
I am even unsure if DE is better than vanilla AOE3 - plenty of "improvements" actually made game worse, the only real improvement is graphic but it adds almost zero fun factor. Will i play dozens of hours more just because of better visuals... naah. But 40+ new civs from WOL? That is completely another story.
Can you cite an example/s on how the gameplay changes made things worse (bugs and glitches doesn't count).
Me? I am not nessesarily talking about gameplay changes but voiceacting of Iroquois (Hauednwhatever) are significantly worse IMHO plus they completely removed the pleasure of leveling up homecity by making all cards available at level 1 (some players welcome this, i certainly dont).
Yea i get it, graphic is better, sounds are too, gameplay got sometimes improved, 2 new civs that are OK...
Yet, nothing compared to WOL.
Plus DE runs or looks like crap on low-end PCs which may be an issue for some people. I can run most 2020 games but AOE DE have some weird glitches (sounds loop, visual flickering of shadows, fire textures are weird, and torches thrown at building by soldiers look at streams of **** tbh... not kidding).
