Looks like you guys looked up some real world references for this one because it also looks a little too modern imo
The thing about polynesian civs is that they weren't exhaustively recorded. A lot of stuff about them is lost to history.
That's why using some modern references is okay, and "Artistic License" is perfectly valid too.
Sadly true, but they could've gone for an authentic look rather than a jarringly modern look

The main thing that caught my eye was the front door, then the glass, the paint, the paneling and then the roof which looks like some form of metal.
The patterns look fine and tbh, i'd save this for an imperial or industrial age skin
